Had a funny story about Tom creams daughter being in class on April 1st. The professor announced to the class that Tom Crean was fired and the class started cheering. Then said April fools. With his daughter present in class..... Love it!!!

He defended himself by saying crean gets paid too much for being a horrible coach. Which is true.. You can't get mad at the guy for telling the truth.

Cruelty getting praise? People might want to rethink how much they put into sports.
The man is rich off the university.. So he can suck it up and put her at a better school. Not a big deal to be honest. More so funny than anything.

Prof should be fired or at least suspended. I'm all for bashing Crean and those intolerable IU fans but leave his kids out of it. The story about IU fans heckling Crean while he was at his son's bball game was equally disturbing.
Crean may be a terrible coach, but I'd be pissed too if somebody came waltzing through saying that my father was fired from his work and all of my peers started cheering. You wouldn't want to hear that about somebody close to you, and neither should she, regardless of how much money they may have.
I'm sure Crean pulled his pants up and...that's about it.
You can't suck at coaching for a certain school. Send your daughter to that same school you suck at coaching for. And not expect your kids to catch some sort of flack for you sucking at being the schools coach for the same school your daughter attends. In today's society whether it's right or wrong. Seems like he should've almost expected something of this nature to happen the day he decided to be a terrible coach for the same university his daughter attends. I just feel like he could've easily avoided these scenarios. So no reason to be sour about it.
I agree with those who say leave the family out of it. That professor knew exactly who was in his class, and that was deliberately cruel.
It was April Fool's day...give me a break. And I must have missed where the professor attacked Crean's children. If his daughter was DUMB ENOUGH to believe that for a second she is even weirder than her father.
Exactly.. If I was a professor at UK and stoops daughter happened to be in the class I would've made the same joke about stoops in front of his kid because I support the same university that supports stoops and it's not fair!
And look at it this way. This professor probably works his butt of for the university. Has probably paid his dues and done a lot to earn job security. And he's working for the same university that gives job security to a person who is really really bad at his job and it probably offends him because of how hard he's worked to actually earn job security. He probably feels snubbed by the university.

That professor should be fired for even joking about firing Coach Tom Crean. Given enough time, CTC will have a statue and shrine honoring him on IU's campus. Be patient IU fans, you'll return to the glory days...
