Almost pulled a 2007 Michigan. I didn't watch the game but I'm guessing they don't stay ranked in the top 10 long if they could only beat Western Michigan 37-24
They were up 34-10 in the 3rd when I went to bed, sounds like they coasted from there.Almost pulled a 2007 Michigan. I didn't watch the game but I'm guessing they don't stay ranked in the top 10 long if they could only beat Western Michigan 37-24
That's right. Ohio State was a good example. A lot of other examples have shown how misleading openers can be. College football teams are generally developed to be fully ready for their 1st conference game. Lots of strange things can happen in openers, but they do not always predict the future.I wouldn't read too much into early games. If I'm not mistaken Ohio State had a poor opener last season then lost their second game...and that turned out alright.
They probably looked better than Baylor and TCU. It's the first game of the season. Not much to take away other than getting the win.
Did the Dowell twins play?Almost pulled a 2007 Michigan. I didn't watch the game but I'm guessing they don't stay ranked in the top 10 long if they could only beat Western Michigan 37-24
1 of them had 2 tackles.. But that's just looking at the box score so idk how much he played or if both playedDid the Dowell twins play?

Heard them say that Michigan St. Has 25 seniors on the team this year. That is unreal that you would basically have an entire recruiting class in your senior class. Now some could be juco transfers and 5th year seniors, but still impressive, and a big reason they will be very good this year.
Baylor SMU was 28 - 21 at halftime and as late as four minutes left in the third quarter. 1-11 last year SMU.I'm not sure how 37-24 is in anyway better than 56-21, but I'll give you better than TCU.
Large senior classes is what you strive for, means you have mature experienced players. I recall several years ago a NC Penn St team had an unreal 36 seniors. To compare, UK this year has like 16 seniors, next year 13. I really don't recall the last time UK had over 20 seniors(too lazy to look it up).
Hope UK can build a strong RS program. Unfortunately, UK's forced to play really young LBers this year who should be RSed.
