Right but is the product worth it? I can go watch 11 year olds shoot 2-20 from 3 for a half for free.
No, I'm not disagreeing. Even IF the product is worth it, it's just getting too costly for most folks to do. I mean, lodging in Chitown is EXPERNSIVE. You're looking 300-500 for a couple of nights (for a safe and clean place). Plane tickets another 150-400. Tickets 200-500 easy. And then food? another 200 by the time it's all said and done. That doesn't even factor in blow money for swag and maybe another cheap event.

You could EASILY spend 2K on this. Most people don't have 2 grand to use on this (or even if they did, don't want to spend it in case costs get higher or have other bills to pay).

I agree I wouldn't pay for it. We got a deal on a week long cruise here in a few weeks. Flight, and balcony suite, and hotel night before it leaves for just under 3k. Just not worth it at all.

And I hate to be that way. Growing up never wanted to be. Money is important, but man, it shouldn't be the be all end all. Yet here we are.

Nonetheless,

AT THE HALF

KU 30
MST 24

Just....uh....a real barnburner here.

This tourney should expand and be on the weekend, have a mini in season tourney championship
That would be fun. Put UCLA, Us, UNC and UCONN as byes (Top 4 teams with the most titles) and then Duke, IU, KU and Nova as the next 4 teams for the first round and then choose 4 teams from the previous year's FF/E8. Would be a blast

Would love to see it as a tourney with one team coming out of it 0-2. Might up the intensity. MSU might choose to bow out and then they can bring in a team with a championship in the last 15 years.
Just do full 16 team season kick off tournament to bring hype to the sport again. Figure out a way to promote teams into and relegate teams out of it based on performance.

They beat us last time we played em. We have lost 5 of6 last games here. Might not want to cast dispersion at others. Case could be made that WE should bow out

We are treading awfully close to that 15 years. Thanks Cal.
We're getting close, but I don't think we will get there.

Heck, minus KU it's been awhile for everyone

UNC- going on 7 years (last title 2017)
Duke- going on nearly 10 (last 2015)
KU- going on 2 (last 2022)
Us- going on 12 (last 2012)
MSU- LOL

What about Indiana and UCLA? I know they are not in this, but I just want to see those dates.

UNC made the title game in 2022 though as well.

Looking at that it is wild that we have seen three of the biggest names in College Basketball win a title in almost a decade.

UNC got close in 2022; Duke got to the FF then as well, but man- it's still crazy to think about. Had KU not won the title in 2022, a blueblood would not have a title in ages.

Last year was Chicago, which I live in now and was so mad we couldn't go, this year is Catlanta.
