It will be hard rooting for a guy that bares the same name as that wonderful pg we had in the tubby years
not sure CAl will be on him long. Porters father is an asst at Mizu girls bball, and by the way his younger brother has already committed to Romar in Washington. And if you did not know Romar is his Godfather and close friend of his fathers. so do not be surprised if Cal shows interest early to get a feel , but if a cold reception could see cal not wasting the time.
I love this kids game , looks tremendous to me . I don't watch too many young recruits but this kid caught my eye 2 years ago . Dude is a stud .

I think he has a scholarship offer to play football at USC.
Trae Young loves UK and appears to be Cal's top PG targe. Just not sure he can pull Porter with him.

relax Francis. and cal does not get every recruit he puts time in on. do you want those names from guys that we're supposed locks for UK last year but went somewhere else. do not become a arrogant prick because we are on top right now. we could be on the bottom just as fast.
to think just because CAL AND UK WALK THROUGH the door It is a lock is just stupid. Cal missed on plenty of guys that he worked until the end. yes we are lucky out of the big pool of 5 star players we get the majority of what we go after. but to put a entire response in caps like Cal and UK don't miss is just being slow.
my point is their are plenty of top guys in that class. if Cal can tell the young man wants to go with his brother to Washington to play for his Godfather then Cal may pull out and focus on other talents. God can't stand arrogance from losers who live through and hold their chins high over a recruiting class like they had a part in it.

No way in he11 you actually believe this. You make these crazy predictions about who KU leads for and every single year you're wrong. Do you not see the problem with Self and his recruiting of elite players lately? You will probably land Bolden since KU's post players suck and this kid would start from day 1. Porter jr and Trae Young? You won't land either of those kids. What makes you think Self will land Young when he hasn't signed an elite point guard in 7 or 8 years now. You might lead for the duo at this very moment, but i bet you by the time these kids are ready to sign, they will not sign with KU and Self.

So that tells me not all the Porter family is all about UW and Romar. My real concern would be if he wants to play with his little brother.
Ive seen it before. Like the Lawsons at UM. Pops gets hired sons fallow. If dad decides to go to UW and coach then probably both brothers fallow. As of now i do not see dad being interested in that senerio.

The Porter situation is unusual, to say the least. His aunt (mother's side) coaches the Mizzou women's team, and his dad is an assistant on that team. 2 of his sisters play there. But then you have the Romar connection, and his brother committing to play there. And, of course, all the talk about a package with Trae Young.
So who the hell knows. UDub hiring his dad seemed logical, but since he didn't take it, maybe family connections aren't as big a factor as a lot of people assumed they'd be.
Porter said that he [Michael] wouldn't be in college, i.e., one and done, by the time his little brother got to college, so they wouldn't be playing together anyway.

How did the Monk and Fox sutuation turn out for KU? OH YEAH EXACTLY MY POINT!!! WE HAVE CAL WHO CARES WHO THE LEADER IS! IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO THE LEADER IS.
Not sure we were ever really a candidate for Monk and Kentucky can thank his brother, Marcus, otherwise Malik would be playing at Arkansas next year.
Fox is another situation all together. Seems he wanted to play for Kentucky all along. Didn't matter we had offered and been on him longer and were the early favorites, once Kentucky offered we were an afterthought.
Porter/Young are a different animal. Porter has a Kentucky offer and the consensus is that KU still leads. Still way too early to call on this one. I know Young likes KU, but to me he seems to also like Duke and Kentucky, so no clue on him. If they are a package deal, all three big boys are recruiting both.
LOL. Is this supposed to be a satirical account? If Porter and Young go to KU I will eat my hat. No chance.
