Our win against Miami is going to end up being a Quad 1 win by March. Even so, all we have to do is keep winning and none of the nail biting will be necessary. If we take care of business in the SEC, we're earning a 1 seed.
They are 11-2 but both losses were huge blowouts. Miami is definitely a good team though and probably worthy of being top 25.Maybe their downfall was a bit premature?

I also think we can look beyond metrics to see that when our opponents beat other good teams, it tells us our team stacks up well against other great teams. Miami will be ranked again (not even sure they should have dropped out in the first place), and it means they probably are TRULY a top25 team that we beat.
And won tonight without arguably their best player (Wooga Poplar)- great win for them.
I’m sick of the NET. It makes no effing sense.Net ranking fuzzy math, Miami goes from 53 to 40, but UK goes from 22 to 24. Not sure how that’s possible, the Mia I bump would presumably help UK. At least it’s now a Quad 1 win!
After the UNCW loss I heard Matt Jones say there is no shot of UK getting a 1 seed. I know it is unlikely to happen but if they ran the table and went into the tournament 32-2 there is no way they aren't a 1 seed. Our win against Miami is going to end up being a Quad 1 win by March. Matt Jones is wrong. He says a lot of good things but he's not the best when it comes to predicting tournament seeds. We don't even have to run the table on the SEC to get a one seed. I think we could go 16-2, win the SEC tournament, and we can still get a one seed. I think people are underestimating how much college basketball is going to cannibalize itself this year in conference. After the UNCW loss I heard Matt Jones say there is no shot of UK getting a 1 seed. It's not a quad 1 win yet. They have to be in the top 30 in the NET. We played them at home. They need to jump 10 more spots for that to happen.Net ranking fuzzy math, Miami goes from 53 to 40, but UK goes from 22 to 24. Not sure how that’s possible, the Mia I bump would presumably help UK. I’m not so bullish on that. The acc sucks. Clemson was untested. I bet they miss or barely make it as a last 4 in team. And define “taking care of business”. What is that? 1 loss 2, 3 losses? The reality is we are probably a 5 loss conference team. And a 4/5 seed at best. Unless we blow through conference play with maybe 1 reg season loss I don’t see a 1 seed in play for us.Our win against Miami is going to end up being a Quad 1 win by March. This team isn’t doing that. And no MJ is dead on. I mean even you’re admitting it because losing 2 conference games will be difficult hell losing only 4 would be a feat. This team hasn’t turned some corner. There are still serious struggles defensively and the SEC is a man’s league with home cooking every where we go.Matt Jones is wrong.
