Coz we BBN, we crazy bro. We want to win every game 118-56We have so many posters who say things like “still gotta get at least eleventeen PFs and a couple more shooters c’mon Pope!”

So maybe the Terrence Jones RollIn theory, if he recovers well, he can do more things than Amari
Yeah yeah and Aaron Rodgers was about to return from his Achilles injury. Believe that if you want, I'll stick with the facts. People aren't coming back full contact sports at this level in 5-6 months from an ACL.this is not 1980
ACL injuries are not nearly as devastating as they once were
remember DA could have played in the title game and his ACL injury happened during the season
i have no doubt that physically he will be healed up, but mentally is always the question
sept will be 6 monthsYeah yeah and Aaron Rodgers was about to return from his Achilles injury. Believe that if you want, I'll stick with the facts. People aren't coming back full contact sports at this level in 5-6 months from an ACL.
Great example of a guy that "could" but didn't. Yet there are countless examples in every other sport where it takes at least 8-9 months.sept will be 6 months
how long did it take DA to heal up (remember the doctors cleared him for the title game)

me too. Also he wouldn't really run anybody off as he wouldn't immediately threaten anyone for playing time.
I think I'm talking myself into it more and more lol
And the big round knight, Sir Cumference. No, but he was knighted around the same time as Sir Mix-a-Lot.
AP did 8 months and ran for 2k yard (career best)sept will be 6 months

The ole' "Gwath offer" lmaoDont know
If I am Pope, I only pay him NIL after he actually plays certain amount of games...
Dont know how will Pope negotiate this to JQ
6 months does not equal 8 months. Which is what the conversation was about.AP did 8 months and ran for 2k yard (career best)
So a Nov/Dec return would very much be in play
Yeah I am shifting the conversation, and not all that much. Pretty standard practice in interpersonal communication.6 months does not equal 8 months. Which is what the conversation was about.
My issue is I do not want him here "healing" in preparation for moving on. I really don't think Pope will ever allow a Sharpe fiasco. If we get Alvaro too we have enough bigs to let him heal. He obviously is very young still and has a ton of talent. Maybe let him sit till he’s ready. Deploy him for SEC season but it would have to be for the right price.
before injury, it is yes. He is really good at most aspects of defenseHe has to be able to PASS, DRIBBLE and SHOOT. He has great size, athletic… what’s his skills? He’s a rim protector, Can he defend pick and rolls and defend guards on a switch?
Pope has good evaluation instincts.
Don’t know if he is a NIL negotiator.🤔
JQ at least at least should be ready for qualified non-con games (against IU/Zaga/Lou) in December and SEC playsMy issue is I do not want him here "healing" in preparation for moving on. I really don't think Pope will ever allow a Sharpe fiasco.

His dad is looking for a sucker.Ehhhhh. I'd support him if he comes here but man his dad sucksssss
I don’t either, right price and medical assurances add him. I doubt Pope would let anyone do a Sharpe. My issue is I do not want him here "healing" in preparation for moving on. I really don't think Pope will ever allow a Sharpe fiasco.
On the bright side, maybe JQ has always had the desire to stay in Kentucky, but last year he wasn’t sure if Pope was the right person, so he decided to wait and see for a year. (Of course, this could just be wishful thinking.)I don’t either, right price and medical assurances add him. I doubt Pope would let anyone do a Sharpe.
He wanted to stay.. Wanted to talk to Mitch about how he was going with the new coach but Mitch failed to return his phone call..On the bright side, maybe JQ has always had the desire to stay in Kentucky, but last year he wasn’t sure if Pope was the right person, so he decided to wait and see for a year. Ain't nerry damn fool on here knows anything about what NIL payments are or even the numbers that each player is floating around to UK and vise versa.. Closest one anyone knows close to what the amount is is with JJ,, around 1.3 million..Once again I have to ask where you guys are verifying what these guys are getting in NIL deals...not rumors, not supposition, but real dollars being paid out.
This sounds like monopoly money you guys are talking about.
If this is the case, mitch should be firedHe wanted to stay.. Wanted to talk to Mitch about how he was going with the new coach but Mitch failed to return his phone call..
Was exactly what happened.. JQs dad requested that Mitch call him and had questions of what type of coach he was going for/system,, see where JQ would fit in.. Then Mitch ghosted them on the phone call..If this is the case, mitch should be fired
Especially taking a risk when said player prior to the ACL injury had a lot of buzz around him after the early reclass that made him ineligible for the NBA Draft for 2 yrs that he'd play one and sit next.Yeah yeah and Aaron Rodgers was about to return from his Achilles injury. Believe that if you want, I'll stick with the facts. People aren't coming back full contact sports at this level in 5-6 months from an ACL.
JW--also I didn't forget about the Arenas stuff. After looking at everything regarding his school selection, I was incorrect in Gilbert commenting on him choosing a College Program to get up numbers and not win--he said he didn't want him at a HS program where he had to be on a loaded team and not learn how to be the focal point of an opponent's game plan, etc...so he felt it would be a better preparation for Alijah to play at a Normal HS and learn to be #1 on a scout rather than blend in and just play in games that he has it easy and doesn't have to work due to overwhelming opponents with just talent collectively.Yeah yeah and Aaron Rodgers was about to return from his Achilles injury. Believe that if you want, I'll stick with the facts. People aren't coming back full contact sports at this level in 5-6 months from an ACL.
I *LOATHE* this news.I'd rather have Alvaro than Quaintance.
Exactly what I was thinking. He doesn’t get a dime until the day he sets foot on the court.
Third most important Cal recruit.
With a barely healed knee he’s not worth 750,000 a month.Yeah I am shifting the conversation, and not all that much. Pretty standard practice in interpersonal communication.
Season mostly goes from Oct-March. Most of the significant games are Dec - march. There would be a decent chance he’d be available over that period.
I kind of don’t mind though. I mean this will be our 11th? Player that we have signed and I felt good about the roster before him. The upside seems higher than the downside.Especially taking a risk when said player prior to the ACL injury had a lot of buzz around him after the early reclass that made him ineligible for the NBA Draft for 2 yrs that he'd play one and sit next.
UK needs to have players who will be on the court in a definitive manner next year. I'm a huge fan of Quaintance's game/skill set but if you bring him in, he doesn't play/sits and then leaves--this would be worse than Shaeden Sharpe's situation because you knew the kid was injured and what was known prior and had numerous other players you could've brought in who were completely healthy and able to help you on the court.
I disagree. So does the coaching staff. With a barely healed knee he’s not worth 750,000 a month.
