just got this email talking about the summer guys...thought I would pass along this little bit about JOrts
Josh Harrellson
Info:Forward, 6-10, 275 pounds, 26 years old

Last season:11.8 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 2.3 apg, 2.1 bpg, 37.2 3FG% with Brujos de Guayama (Puerto Rican league)

What to watch:Harrellson joins fellow Kentucky alumni Devin Booker and Archie Goodwin on the roster, but he will be out to earn the guaranteed contract status the other two Wildcats enjoy. After being selected 45th overall by New Orleans in 2011, Harrellson has since jumped from the NBA to Puerto Rico to the NBA to China and, most recently, back to Puerto Rico.

Harrellson adds an extra dimension of rebounding and shot-blocking in the Suns’ Summer League rotation behind Alex Len, though he’ll also want to exhibit some of the three-point shooting he showed in Puerto Rico last season.

if Jorts makes the team...has their been an NBA team with 5 from one school?

275???...He needs to slim down a little in my opinion. He looked a little on the heavy side when I watched he play.

Archie Goodwin
Info:Guard, 6-5, 200 pounds, 20 years old

Last season:5.6 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 1.1 apg with Phoenix Suns

What to watch:Goodwin came on strong toward the end of last season, putting up 7.6 points per game while seeing his minutes jump to over 22 per contest in April.

Now entering his third NBA season, the 6-5 guard will need to show he has enough of an outside shot to complement his natural driving ability. Goodwin saw his three-point accuracy jump from 13.9 percent in his rookie season to 29.3 percent in his sophomore year. Further improvement and consistency could nail down more rotation minutes in the season to come. As a former first-round pick, he’ll get plenty of playing time to prove himself in his third Summer League appearance.

I watched phoenix play in a summer league game on Sunday. I didn't realize Jorts was going to be playing, dude is big and strong but he is still a little bit slow. He was doing a good job of talking on the floor. One play he was calling for Booker to come back to the ball. Neither Archie or Devin shot the ball that well, I think Archie starting to get it going more in the second half, he has pretty good size but hes caught in that position where there are a lot of guys like him.

Jorts is coming off an Injury a while back so it's a process to get back in game shape especially with back problems.

If Harrellson makes the Suns roster, in a few years there could be as many UK wildcats playing in the state of Arizona as there are Arizona Wildcats.

Well lets hope he makes the roster. It'll be fun watching the Suns no mater what though. Knight, Bledsoe, Booker, and Goodwin. Anybody wanna bet that Devin Booker don't outplay Goodwin and play over him??? Bet on it. He will.

Of course he will, Booker can shoot.

if bookers defense is strong he will be a valuable player. he just needs reps and to get good at running without the ball/getting open. that will happen naturally. but he also needs to enhance his dribbling skills. as a shooter (and a guard at that) if people are closing out on you, you obviously need to be a triple threat. i like his slashing ability, but he needs more craftiness/moves off the dribble in his arsenal. nothing crazy.

he's good at sticking his elbows out and protecting the ball when he's facing up. if he could get around opponents with dribble penetration here and there, he would be able to add a nice jab move for his jumper. no doubt in my mind he has the stroke to already be a good nba spot up shooter.

just a couple good moves for getting his shot off and i think he will be a good nba two guard some day. surprised to hear he didn't shoot well.
