Meet the Wildcats: Nick Richards

Poor man's Nerlens Noel. Won't block as much, and maybe a little less lateral quickness, but will do a lot of the other stuff just as well.

I would definitely recommend listening to the podcasts that they link to in each article. Around 40 minutes each but they're surprisingly insightful for each of the guys.

Agreed. Love those as well. I also like the video they make of them playing. That's nice little fun thing they started this year.

Good looking shot for a big guy. Small sample size but I'll take it. If he can rotate out of the lane on drives and hit that short jumper like Welsh from UCLA (aka Albino Dracula) then Diallo and Green should feast.

Never heard of her

Ever heard of Bucknell, Bradley or Northern Iowa? (All 1st round exits)

VCU, Stanford?

The Jayhawks have been awarded a No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the N.C.A.A. tournament 10 times since 2005.

But has lost to a lower-seeded team nine times...

The Jayhawks have only reached the Final Four twice since 2005.

Butler, which has never been a top-two seed, reached the Final Four twice, despite having four fewer tournament appearances.

Loser.

Interesting comments by Nick regards to WG. Very cool comments in regards to his leadership.

Nice job WG.

Poor mans Noel? Kinda preemptive to say?

I think the word you're looking for is "premature," and no, I don't think so. Their high school stats are almost identical (other than blocks), as are their bodies, and Richards has the better vertical jump. And I still called him a "poor man's Noel."

Disagree..

First of all Nick Richards hasn't really played basketball all that much. He started at 15? lol, If their stats were similar, holy shit that's scary.

Second, you said Richards vertical is better...well, he is taller AND weights 240 lbs to NN's 210-215 at UK.

Also, Richards is comfortable shooting midrange shots and 3... Doesn't excel at it, or Cal won't even let him shoot any threes most likely. However, his body is far more ready to pound it inside.

NN will be untouchable when it comes to blocks and steals, as that was insane what he was doing. He was also a pogo stick..NN is basically marcus lee's dream of him wearing a cape.

Congrats Kansas fan in landing the Lawson kids. Seems like they are already feeling right at home. They will pick up right where Jackson and company left off.

If you haven't read this yet enjoy yourselves.

I see nick Richards didn't play football in highschool but volleyball and soccer. We should of passed on him since he doesn't meet the standards of a uk player and Marcus lee didn't do volleyball basketball players any favors.

Kids got range out to 3. I like to see that even though he'll probably never shoot them. I'm excited about his upside. He's the rim protector we need

If he really does become a great rim protector, this team will do some serious damage.
