So, over the past few days I've been going back and forth with some Jayhawks on the nat'l board about this match up and our teams. I didn't want to ask on Rafters, because well, you know, we could beat the 92 Dream Team 9/10 and the 1/10 was bad officiating. Anyways, am I delusional, or are we better than them everywhere except maybe a push at the 4 (Poy vs Ellis).
I think Ellis has a better offensive game than Poy, but Poy is a way better defender, so they should wash out. Ulis, Murray, and Skal are all better than their counterparts, and by a good margin, imo. I don't know what to expect from Briscoe, but it's hard for me to believe Selden has all of a sudden decided to live up to his billing anymore than Poythress has. I'll call that one a 'wait and see'. Then on our bench, we have Mulder, Lee, Matthews, a 7ft Aboriginie in Humphries, and Wynyard will be available by the time this game happens should our bigs get into foul trouble.
Also, let me be clear that I think there is nothing to be gleaned from this game should KU win, because it's in Lawrence, but I'm just speaking in general, as to which team will be better in March. What's your 100% objective take?
