Hate on me if you need to, but just being honest.

I have that same feeling. It may not be logical, but it just seems out of place and annoying. I'd prefer that ladies stick to narrating women's sports and vice versa. Call me old-fashioned, but I'm just being honest.

Football today, the good looking blonde commentator was talking about how one of the QBs had improved this season with making his progressions 1-2-3. I couldn't help but think, lower the camera so I can check out how big her boobs are. Is that bad of me?

Not sure why so many posters are comfortable posting that fundamentally - they just don’t like women and don’t like listening to them. Female announcers don’t bother me at all if they have pleasant voices.

And those complaining about using women to announce men’s games, are you similarly offended by men coaching women’s teams (considering the reverse never happens) - like our team? That’s just a ridiculous argument.

I'd say it depends on the commentator. There are some who do really well. Generalizations can get you in trouble because there are exceptions all around. But many women don't think or observe things in the same way men do, so men want to hear details about the game, statistics, observations about unique plays and athletic plays, and commentary about the players, coaches, and their history. And they want to hear from an authority or an expert, like a former player or coach, or a sports broadcaster who knows the game well.

So, I don't care if I'm listening to a woman or a man. I just want to know I'm hearing from someone who knows and understands the game, the teams and players, the coaches, and so on. I've seen a few women who could do that. But I've seen a few who clearly weren't there for their knowledge of the game but maybe other reasons.

Doris Burke is fine. A few years back I didn't mind Beth Phoenix's commentary on NXT in wrestling. Anyone else, especially Mowins get muted or change the channel. Even my mother a few years back when Mowins was on The Price Is Right said her voice is annoying as hell. Cubs fans suffer enough, they get her doing play by play for them on Marquee Sports Network.
