I think the reaction from their fan base is what made it so ugly. It puts it in perspective what other programs think about us.Why is this a bad look for UK our coaches name was floated for another job?

You’re looking at it all wrong. If anything, this can possibly raise the optics of uk football. Any publicity is good publicity and all weekend everyone has been told that stoops has value. I’d say stoops face appeared online more times today than when he was hired hereTexans don't mess around. I seriously feared for Stoops safety if he took the job.
I hope tonight humbles Stoops a bit and makes him appreciate the top 10 money he gets here to produce....results.

This makes stoops look bad not good and Kentucky and A&M look bad as wellYou’re looking at it all wrong. If anything, this can possibly raise the optics of uk football. It didn’t exactly work out for Greg Schiano when Tennessee revolted his hire. I guess he ended up back at Rutgers eventually, but I don’t see how he benefitted from Tennessee doing pretty much the same thing. You’re looking at it all wrong. Those team meetings are gonna really really awkward now
Floated.....??.......the agent for Stoops talked to Aggies per AM media
Stoops was telling people he was leaving. The players have got to be thinking WTF. Recruits too.Great optics for Stoops and UK football. Outstanding even.
I'd say, "did they pony up for you coach?"It’s gonna be awkward in those team meetings Monday when the coach who actively tried to leave here comes back and acts like everything is fine
No spin needed. This was a good day for UK football. TAM should have never been after stoops. Pay 76 mil to ax jimbo just to bring in a less successful jimbo understudy? It’s not stoops that looks bad over this. Well, maybe a little. But not as bad as TAM. Shades of TennesseeSpin it baby. Stoops looks like a moron.
We aren't gonna magically out recruit uga, Bama, UT, Florida, auburn, lsu, an and m, Texas and OU. Stoops also isn't better than kiffin and Missouri coach may have something too.

How do you know that?Stoops was telling people he was leaving. The players have got to be thinking WTF. Recruits too.

Yeah it’s not a great look he cleared wanted to leave and is only back because he has to be, but he has a chance to win back the team and settle things downGreat optics for Stoops and UK football. Outstanding even.
As I asked another poster, how do you know he had told people he was leaving? Because you read it on Twitter? Maybe I’m different but I just don’t believe shit that people say online. He was telling people he was leaving. He was gone. He is here because the boosters and fanbase revolted last minute.
I'm fine with him staying. The optics look bad though.
Unless Matt Jones says it.As I asked another poster, how do you know he had told people he was leaving? Because you read it on Twitter? Maybe I’m different but I just don’t believe shit that people say online.

Maybe he wasn’t telling people. We don’t know. Maybe he was. However, most coaching searches don’t have reports saying “XYZ is set to be the next head coach in the next few days or in the morning” to feel things out. It was obviously at least in the advanced stages of the discussion/offer process. As I asked another poster, how do you know he had told people he was leaving? Because you read it on Twitter? Depends on who says it.As I asked another poster, how do you know he had told people he was leaving? Because you read it on Twitter? Maybe I’m different but I just don’t believe shit that people say online.
Ohhhh you are damn right I won’t believe the media lol.Well Stoops is gonna lie about it so if you won't believe media sources then I guess you won't believe anything.
It literally happens almost every time a big job is being filled. This is typical. I’d like to know the percentage of “first out of the gate” names that actually get the job. It’s gotta be low.Maybe he wasn’t telling people. We don’t know. Maybe he was. Stoops would lie about it but so would A&M if he decided to turn it down. How would it look if “UK’s” Coach turned you down last minute? Not that it matters either way, but I can’t really see A&M’s AD negotiating without the boosters or board knowing. They DGAS about the fans because it’s their money fitting the bill. Both sides look bad.Well Stoops is gonna lie about it so if you won't believe media sources then I guess you won't believe anything.
A reporter that covers Texas A&M. Take that for what it’s worth. I’m inclined to believe it.Depends on who says it.
Ok this coaching carousel, let’s see how many times someone is slated to be announced as the head coach to the point multiple sources are reporting it and the offer falls through. I’m not talking message board “done deals.” 24/7 reported that Stoops accepted the offer. That doesn’t happen a lot. It’s certainly not typical. It literally happens almost every time a big job is being filled. This is typical. We can still make fun of Louisville. Well, at least for one more year.We can’t even make fun of other schools now. We have a coach that caused another fanbase/donor base to revolt at the thought of him being their coach.
That’s true, but they’re hardly even a school. We can still make fun of Louisville. Well, at least for one more year.
Dude. It happens like all the time. For real. No it’s not typical. It’s typical for names to get floated around. It’s not typical for multiple reputable sources like Rivals and 24/7 to say an offer is coming and it not happen. Stoops name wasn’t floated around. It was reported that he took the job. If that’s common, no one would ever pay attention to the reports about this stuff.Dude. It happens like all the time. For real. This is typical.
The offer fell through? We don’t know about no damn offer. We are getting our news from Twitter.
I don't think so if the backroom deal is Stoops HC for another year or two, then Liam takes over.I mean, this is a terrible look for A&M and Stoops. I still think this ends up hurting UK football in some way
If true, they would have denied ever making the offer when it was reported that it was.He didn’t turn them down, they turned him down!
"right now"???????!!!!!!
What was the score of the game today?"right now"???????!!!!!!
Come on dude!!! Can you not make it even MORE obvious that you Screwed this WHOLE situation up ROYALLY!!!! Your agent jumped the FREAKIN gun and now you are trying to save face!!! Add this to the "Pony Up" comment and it is MORE than apparent that you are looking for the FIRST train out of here!!
You need to show your team, fans and administration some HUMILITY for the position you put this program in!!!!
