Exploiting? It was reported that the truck crossed the mexican border, and it did. The border has been left wide open by the Biden admin, its not a great leap when the FBI says the truck used in an attack crossed the border to assume it was a foreign born driver. Irregardless of the attack, the border needs to be controlled, and the outgoing admin chose not to control it.

People are starved for info when something like this happens, it's been that way since the dawn of man, and it will continue until we're gone. The loss of trust in Govt, rightfully, has only amplified the thirst for actual knowledge.

The fact that the border is completely wide open has zero bearing in this particular instance. The fact that the truck may have traveled to Mexico weeks ago had zero bearing in this particular instance. I’m just a dummy who reads the internet and sells insurance for a living, and I knew that yesterday. It’s not too much to ask that our most powerful political officials act with as much caution in their language as a random message board poster.

First of all, it was stated early on before all the info was out, at the time all that was being told was the truck had crossed the border, which it did. We now know it had zero bearing on this, hindsight is 20/20, it wasn't known then.

The problem I have is calling something mis or disinfo when in reality its just people doing what they've always done, yearn for info early on after a traumatic event.

I'm not ok with the govt lying, there's a difference between being wrong, and lying though. I'm not even tore up about the FBI lady that said it wasn't a terrorist attack early on, she screwed up maybe out of an abundance of caution. Now, if they were still pushing that 3 days later it would be cause for concern.

Schools, admin, boards, teachers etc largely reflect the area they are in. Because having the same outcry and demand to fix mass shootings and political assassination attempts by native Americans would require them to look inward at the root cause of a lot of America's problems and admit that America might not be the perfect country they think it is or that their preferred political party actually has zero solutions. Trump put something out on Truth shortly after the attack heavily implying the terrorist was an illegal immigrant. I don't think that's responsible for a President Elect.

Securing the border can be a priority and we can deal in facts about who the terrorist was. The arguments about border security should be made on their own merits and we shouldn't need to immediately jump to conclusions after a terrorist attack to strengthen the argument for border security.

And for what it's worth, the left needs to do the same when they criticize Trump. Deal in facts and don't take things out of context and let your arguments stand on their own merits.
