That is what I am thinking. Maybe that meeting with MB was to cut a deal for a buyout IF CMS would not announce it until AFTER Signing day this week.

But, we all know, there are leakers on the staff, especially if it is home boy recruits involved.

I've been thinking this since the so called "NIL" meeting last week.

We can hope.

This was their # 1 Recruit by far . This is a much bigger deal than Kattus. I suspect that both of the Kattus boys are putting their name in the portal. This program is getting ready to implode. Stoops was warning of this in his post game interview with Leach. However realistically how will they get the top recruits and portal players to come to a program where the coach is on the hottest of seats and has only one year to turn things around which I think is nearly impossible given our schedule for 2025.

Stoops should have been fired today. We can all clearly see where this ride is going and the train is only picking up speed. It is only going to get worse with each passing day that Mark Stoops remains as UK Head Coach. By the time this disaster finishes unfolding, we'll be a lower point than we were at the end of Joker's era.

With as many that are leaving their commitments now, they’ll be just as many seasoned players that will be looking in a few weeks that we can land also.

“If the head coach leaves the institution or the sports program (e.g., not retained, resigns) before you trigger attendance (full-time enrollment attending classes in a regular academic term) at the signing institution or participate in preseason practice, whichever is earlier, you are no longer bound by the provisions of the NLI. You would need to formally submit an NLI release request if you no longer want to attend the institution due to the head coach departure and the institution must grant you a complete release.”

You are correct. I am pretty sure that is still in place.
But, there are a lot fewer top landing spots available at other schools AFTER signing day. Especially with the scholarship limits.

Of course for the handful of our best recruits that we have committed, some team will always make room for them.

Reality is, players are free to come and go as they wish.
