This might be an all-star roster. Square, Jones, Wright, Weaver, Levis and more for the upper class guys, plus I looks like we have some absolute studs in the freshman class.
the season turns out as good as it looks like it could, I’d guess the recruiting class should close strong setting up the future, which provides Stoops the opportunity to stay at UK to compete as one of the big boys.
The longer he stays, the less likely he is to go. I did some research before and the last coach to jump from one P5 to another after 10 years on the job was Mack Brown when he left UNC for Texas in 1997.
It's officially Mark Stoops' program. Kentucky football is in the midst of halcyon days boys. This is incredible. Never thought, as a kid and teen in the 90s, I'd see a day where we take 3 of 5 from big bad Florida. Those Spurrier teams were an effing nightmare. And now, here we sit, victorious in the Swamp yet again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stoops saw the long game from day one. A football team is built from the inside-out and and it takes several recruiting cycles. He inherited an NAIA squad. He was smart to go all in on linemen on both sides and build quality depth. Then he built around the line. Eventually the program had enough clout to reel in some quality coaches and here we are.
Mitch deserves a ton of credit for being patient with stoops. If the fans had their way they would have ended up with Bobby 2.0 and if they didn’t they would have had stoops fired and we would now be on our third coach since hiring stoops. Kentucky should be the blueprint for how to build a football program from scratch

When in your life, after winning AWAY against Florida AGAIN when they were ranked, would you be able to look at the team and say well, they need to improve here or there.

He's already shown he can build a contender from nothing here. And the job security he'll get here will never be matched by anyone else.

Honestly, Marrow's probably not going anywhere and Stoops is going to get him paid. They're like brothers.
White's probably getting an undeniable job offer after this, but if there's anything I'm confident Stoops can do is that he'll find the next guy up. Stoops hires good coaches.

He’s making this a destination program. He will retire here.
To paraphrase Bum Phillips. I don't know what class Stoops is in as a coach...but it don't take long to call roll in the class he is in.
