Yeah he did start out as a 2 but not sure when he was moved to point.I thought he was a 2 guard forced to play pg.

Those are not mutually exclusive traits. If Popes 5th priority is talent, we’ll struggle in this league.
He REALLY came on late in the year.
15 against Gonzaga
24 against Oklahoma
15 against Vandy
26 against Texas
21 against Florida
18 against Auburn
16 against Mizzou
19 against Tex A&M
23 against Miss State
ALL of those games occurred AFTER Feb 8th. Scored double figures in 10 straight to close out the year.
I wish we had Lamont next year man, with who we have with him this time would be sick.I love Lamont but I thought we would upgrade all our positions this season since Pope isn't getting a late start last last year.
He had 24 against us Cal’s last year, 14 this year in their win.I’m going to reiterate my post from earlier as people seem to be underestimating this kid.
He finished the year with 10 straight games in double figures, see below:
15 against Gonzaga
24 against Oklahoma
15 against Vandy
16 against South Carolina
26 against Texas
21 against Florida
18 against Auburn
16 against Mizzou
19 against Tex A&M
23 against Miss State
Him & Acaden Lewis running the PG spot together would be pretty high level I would imagine.
Not saying there aren’t better options, BUT if this is who Pope & Co want to go get, I trust it.
Nope. Demary was 37 percent from 3 this season (the same as Jaxson Robinson) and his catch and shoot metrics are in the upper percentile. He was there 6th man. He is ATROCIOUS shooting the 3 like 20% and to me not a Pg
This is my take as well. He's my first choice of people in the portal.
He scored 21 vs Florida, 18 vs Auburn, 15 in the tournament vs Gonaga. He's got SEC size and athleticism. He's more of a combo guard. So if you don't get anyone else, he can be your lead guard.
But you could still take Braden Smith or Dedan Thomas or whoever else jumps in the portal--and slide this guy over to the SG spot.
If I didn’t responded to the correct person I was referring to KJ Lewis the transfer from ArizonaNope. Demary was 37 percent from 3 this season (the same as Jaxson Robinson) and his catch and shoot metrics are in the upper percentile.
Well no doubt he is Pope's top choice.
Yeah this tells me he is our top choice. Get him in Lexington
Yeah. IMO Lamont is elite talent.I wish we had Lamont next year man, with who we have with him this time would be sick.
This kid has missed on a lot not saying this isn’t happening but he misses and just gets click baitYeah this tells me he is our top choice. Get him in Lexington

As of the portal today these are my choicesI think Coach Pope looks at it and says if he blows $3 mil at the PG spot he's taking away money from other positions.
If we got Bailey, the Spanish kid, and the center from SDSU that's really good. Couldn't do that committing a giant pot in one place.
Plus that’s 3 stretch position players that can play multiple positionsI think Coach Pope looks at it and says if he blows $3 mil at the PG spot he's taking away money from other positions.

Edit to add Silas D looks really good.
Shaw is the main one reporting itThis kid has missed on a lot not saying this isn’t happening but he misses and just gets click bait
I just seen that I guess the Jacob kid is just piggybacking off of itShaw is the main one reporting it
I'd take that group and call it a dayI think Coach Pope looks at it and says if he blows $3 mil at the PG spot he's taking away money from other positions.

Thank you, sucks to hear that.Dent went to UCLA and the Smith thing is only a rumor.
In home visit already with the full staff? 👀
UNC has also contacted. A lot of blue bloods are in on him. Pope going there means he wants to end it quick. I remember the full staff flew out to Vegas last year to secure Butler. Hopefully it works again.
He’s a flopper. So if you value getting cheap fouls from flopping then he is your man.I don't remember this kid a ton, is he known as an elite wing defender?

Also has two years of SEC experience under his belt. A big plus. This kid is a stud....athletic, strong, good shooter, tough, proven and VERSATILE. Get him and he will find a spot.
I would say both are solid pieces, but neither is a “boom!”Demary and Williams would be a damn good start to the portal
Who do yall want them to get?I would say both are solid pieces, but neither is a “boom!”
I read that a lot of schools like his talent and the fact he could play two years.

I Expect him to be an upper level freshman TBH.What are the realistic expectations for Jasper Johnson next season?
I’ve read from several people that he is a Tyty Washington level freshman. If so, he’s a solid 10-12 ppg scorer next year. What are the realistic expectations for Jasper Johnson next season?
You may be right but I specifically remember that little weasel Blue Cain was constantly flopping during our game and the idiot refs fell for it every time. He’s a flopper. So if you value getting cheap fouls from flopping then he is your man.
Go back and watch their games. Demary could be a Dukie he flops so much. You may be right but I specifically remember that little weasel Blue Cain was constantly flopping during our game and the idiot refs fell for it every time.
