Mark Pope "Coming In Hot" on UGA Transfer (Travis Graf)

Just let Pope get who he has seen play and who he wants. That is unless you know more than the coach who is responsible for the team.
I’m just asking questions d-bag for those that follow or are in the know, why don’t you learn to understand the conversation and difference in asking before acting like a complete jackass. Never said what I want pope to do moron, just asking what our plans may or may not be.

I swear some of these complete stupid dumbasses on here need to get a life, take your dice and turn them sideways and stick them both straight up your dbag.

He’s not my first choice but it makes sense. Can play D and can shoot the 3
With our system that's going to be prevalent. Pope wants to shoot a lot of 3s, but doesn't want shooters who can't defend. He wants to score a lot and make sure the other teams don't. As long as he gets guards that can get in the lane pass and hit shots we'll be sitting pretty as the saying goes

Will see how pope deals with frontcourt recruiting

If we do not recruit solid frontcourt pieces, we could envision a failure in next year before playing any game
That or Garrison emerges. I don’t think he’s that far off. Very raw, but adding some pounds and working on defensive footwork, maturing and developing his shot better would be huge. I’m not sold on BG as the guy but I’m also not going to say he isn’t either. He was just a sophomore this past year.

Hopefully he stays and develops his game

He has potential but not sure if he can 100% makes huge progress to be our frontcourt answer next year

He REALLY came on late in the year.

15 against Gonzaga
24 against Oklahoma
15 against Vandy
26 against Texas
21 against Florida
18 against Auburn
16 against Mizzou
19 against Tex A&M
23 against Miss State

ALL of those games occurred AFTER Feb 8th. Scored double figures in 10 straight to close out the year.
That's a strong resume against some TOUGH opponents.

I am still a little shell shocked from the last guy we got from UGA.

I am not sold on Gwath, too skinny for SEC... We need physical guys to rebound
Get what you’re saying about his weight and yes he needs to add 10-20, however rebounding is all position no matter your weight or size you gotta box out and put a body on people. I watch 6’5 guys out rebounding 6’10 guys see Garrison

This is not cal university anymore we build from within. We need glass cleaners alot more than 6ft3 guards what the hell are you thinking
This thread is literally about a guard, no one is refuting that the team needs big men. You said players were being over recruited with absolutely nothing to show for it other than weirdly hurt feelings. "What the hell are you thinking". Calipari has your brain rotted.

The team needs ballhandlers, scorers and at least 2 portal bigs if they keep Garrison, I'm clearly thinking more about the bigger picture than you, when you are complaining about players that didn't play much having better players come in over them. Take your thinly veiled attempt at insulting peoples intelligence and shove them where the sun doesn't shine.

Pope promised “superstars” in the portal. If Demery is the PG that’s not a superstar nor an upgrade over Butler.

Pope needs to get those superstar portal players he said he was going to get. The guys from Tulane and Georgia sure don't fit that.
I think you just dont like our coach. Teams are molded with players that play together not so called superstars that are in the portal because they want money or didn't make it for whatever reason at their previous school.

If you want a project from Georgia, get the big guy Cyril, 3 years of eligibility and develop him into the best big guy in college.

There is not a single player that was a superstar this year that will be available to us next year.

Was this year's SEC tougher than last year's Big 12?

Last year in the Big 12 Oweh scored aroun 10 ppg and this guy average 19.7 his last 9 games in this year's SEC! Does that mean he's a better transfer than Oweh? No, but it's an easier case to make than him being worse.

I absolutely love Cyril but I can’t see the fit with UK. Our offense demands being able to at minimum pass, but preferably pass shoot and dribble. Cyril can do zero of those. Kid is going to be a problem child for someone in the future.

How you view a potential Demary addition probably largely depends on how you viewed this season. If you think we had a perfect formula already and only got held back from championship contention by injuries, then he fits right in. He’s a good player who’s already proven he can keep up athletically in the SEC.

If you think that there was an actual gap between us and the teams that finished ahead of us in conference and we need an All-American or two to catch up, then I don’t think his ceiling is quite that high.

I’m sympathetic towards the second view, and might actually lean that way myself. The difficult thing though, is that surefire stars don’t hit the portal very often, so it’s a balancing act trying to see if any come available while not missing on all the other good players while waiting. If Pope wants this guy, then I can see some merit in it.

Guys we can get superstars at other positions, pg isn’t the only spot. The more I look up about Demary the more I really like the potential add
If Pope decides to go with defense and size at every position that he can, while adding a superstar 4 I’d be happy with that. I’m sure our offense will be good just about no matter what with Pope and system

Demary isn’t a bum on offense either. Let’s say it’s demary Wilkerson oweh, Bailey and garrisson as the starts. Johnson, Lewis, Chandler, backup 4 and physical center at the 5. That’s a really damn good team. I forget about Williams, so the backup 4 could be out the window

Just think about Pope having 2 three point threats at center and a four that could rebound and score inside and out...

Are we even in on any of those? Wilkerson seems the only one but word is Arkansas for him.
Wilkerson is an obvious want for anybody. Not only a great shooter, he is the ideal size to play the two or three, according to matchups. And if we have plenty of money for two of the very best available, it is strange to me he would want to go to Ark over UK if we have more money to give him than AR does.

This is why the reports that we have plenty of NIL money and Pope can literally pick who he wants does not seem to add up at this point anyway.

What is the deal with Adrian Wooley of Kennesaw St? A 6-5 guard that has is very impressive stat wise, 18.8 pts, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 51.2 FG% and 42.2 3pt%. Looks like a ton of the top schools want him.
From Tuscaloosa and his coach at Kennesaw State is a former Oats assistant. I think most people think he’s going to Alabama until proven otherwise.
