Nice B.S. Loser Mentality UK football fan comment. We really don't need fans like you. You have nothing to back up your comment. Just an old worn-out mentality that is not needed anymore.
I agree with a lot of your opinions, but the differences are off the chart. If you think Blue Decade does long posts then you have never read Messenger's posts. But, I guess I am in a small minority, I thought he had a lot of good facts in some of his posts, even if they were very long, but I never read his posts on here, just other sites. He rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way, and if he were on here you would undoubtedly know by now that he was a Doctor (anesthesia), elected president of a national board, didn't live in state, etc, etc, none of which fits Blue Decade. In fact I think some posters might have just been jealous of his success, it didn't bother me.
I don't understand the criticism of Blue Decade, some very good opinions and facts IMO. Seems simple, if you don't like his posts don't read them.
Kind of similar of the trashing of UKani, another of our best posters, to me.
Its not just the length, but it's the way that he words and phrases things, etc., that reminded me of Messenger/Tristar. But, I do agree that if it really is him, he's posting in disguise and/or has changed somewhat in some areas.
That said, I was just making an observation. I don't overly care either way. In fact, I kinda hope that it is him or that the real Messenger will start posting here. For the most part, his info was pretty good. He's got his flaws, but I do too. We all do. The more we all realize that, the better.

I don't care who someone wants to compare me to. I speak for myself. I don't know as much about other posters as Jauk does, but I just say what I think about our team. I make a post, then Elvis or some other worm compares me to another poster, that tells me that he doesn't have enough cred to talk about the team. Instead he talks about the other posters. Boring! LOL! These posts are supposed to be about our team.
Good attitude to have (in this quoted portion). Some people think that others physically resemble Coach Cal. It is what it is & no big deal.
That said,if you, me and everybody else would do exactly what you said at the end of your post... Only post about the team... Wouldn't that be for the best? Lets do that.

Reasons why a kid picks a school? I'd say
1. Coach. If you have a top notch name brand coach then recruits will be listening and looking and committing if they like the coach.
2. Other good players. Every good player wants to play with other good players. That's why u don't see teams like Ohio stealing recruits away from. Ohio St.
3. Programs, history and tradition play a very important part in this but if you don't have a top notch coach then it won't matter. Ie. Nebraska.
4 fans. If the fans come out in complete support of the team and are just crazy for them then the recruits take notice and most often than not they love it.
5. Facilities, just about all kids like nice things. Every once in a while you will get some kids that could care less about state of the art facilities but they do attract attention and help sell your program.
6. Style of play and success at your position. Their is a reason why Bama has not landed the top QB's in the country the past 8 years and that was because of the ground and pound game. Since they are going more of a pass oriented offense they landed a top QB.
7. Distance from home, this does play a factor in some kids choices as how far away from family and friends or playing for the home state school.
8. Benefits from a certain school. I had a buddy who was a defensive lineman commit to a certain power 5 school because they promised he would be taken care of and he was. Every once in a while he would find money In a brand new pair of nice shoes in his locker. Had a good game got 1g. This was back several yrs ago so that bought a whole lot more than it does now. This school only lost I believe 3 games all year this past season. Not gonna mention who they are.
9. Don't have time to write more as I'm sure their are more reasons why a prospect chooses a school.
But to deny that a top rated player going to a school will not attract other good players is rediculous. Land the top QB in the country and your gonna land better wideouts and lineman etc. Have a good line and your gonna have better backs looking harder at your school.
