That's the only reason I can come up with that Skal, who has given us next to nothing for nearly a month now is still getting minutes over Willis and even Humphries.

Poythress has at least shown some flashes during that time. Skal has been absolutely terrible. Flat footed every time the ball goes up, lost on defense, refuses to pass out of double and triple teams.

The thing is, his stock has barely moved. Scouts have seen something in high school, workouts and practices that have them absolutely convinced and apparently Cal has too. He's playing him because he believes that if we can get Skal back up to speed(he hasn't played organized ball for the better part of the last two seasons), we'll have a much better shot at a title.

Skal is the biggest bust to enter college basketball in many, many years. Let's be honest; if he were at any other school, EVERYBODY on this board would be saying "I feel sorry for X player, going to X school, to play for X coach."

We've been incredibly fortunate that our freshmen have been VERY good and Cal has developed them VERY well. The odds were bound to catch up. It's just a shame that it had to happen this year, when we need an inside presence desperately, and Skal isn't even average, he's virtually unplayable. Seriously, the only reason he even gets off the bench is because he was so highly rated coming in. You take that ranking out, and just look at what he's put on film, and they guy wouldn't get 10 minutes a game in OVC. Brutal, but true.

I think that's the problem. I think most would be fine with him being so hyped up and not able to play well these first few games, forcing Cal to bench him. However, Cal's not benching him and I think it's even been said that he's definitely not going to be here more than a year.

I think that's what ultimately has people upset
