Bet Monk was walking around school today with a big grin.

Kid finishes around the rim as well as Briscoe but with way more length and bounce. He has a taped up wrist and while his shot if off you can see the nice touch he has. Personally, he seems to be settling for long 3's to show off his range rather then attacking the rim which he's had nothing but success doing. Has a handful of rebounds and assists as well.

He should attack the rim more, they can't stop it when he switches hands.

I've seen him shake his hand a couple of times after a shot.
Enjoying this game, though - he's going to be an exciting player

First time I have had a chance to watch Monk. Oh my what a player. Kid has a real good stroke and really quick with good hops. Will be fun watching him in Blue and White next year.

Now have seen Fox, Bam, & Monk once each. Fox had the best showing. Monk great, but 1 for 10 from 3..:scream:

Wow this kid is unreal! He's athletic like Westbrook an has a sweet stroke even tho he's missing a few right now so happy he will be wearing blue next year!

His shot selection is not really good, but in High School a player of his caliber is not going to have very good shot selection. But this kid has a really good stroke. Once he has better shot selection which he will in college, can see this kid shooting lights out. Plus he can really explode off the bounce. Really like his elevation on his jump shot.

LOL y'all notice this game has been a big ole recruiting aid? They've talked about UK all game.
Love it

Monk has completely dominated the 2nd half. The shot selection gets wonky at times, but the skills and athletic ability are off the charts.

And he can shoot. He just needs to be more selective.

Gotta love it. Lots of praise to the other studs in the class from Biancardi. UNC, UL, Arkansas, and IU fans are probably drinking heavily drowning their sorrows.

Monk has good height for a guard is super-athletic. His skill level is very good and I like the fact that he can already shoot the ball. In the college game, he will need to tighten up his ball handling and adjust to better shot selection. I really look forward to seeing him play for UK. The Fox/Monk combo should be something very special to watch.

They said he worked on his tear drop this year, I think that's the real killer shot for him, cause bigs will expect him to take it to the rim, but if he can hit that tear drop in college, to go with the three point threat and the slam threat, he's unstoppable.

Do not worry about his 3 point stroke, he's one of the best in the class. Any analyst would say and have said that.

I forget which recruiting analyst is was who said it...but the other day they said that if Monk's shot is falling during the Mcdonalds All American game he has a good chance of getting the MVP due to his overall scoring ability.
