Kentucky's two committed quarterbacks gave Cats Illustrated their response to reports that Eddie Gran would be named Kentucky's new offensive coordinator:
Gunnar Hoak: "It's gonna be great. He's a good guy. He offered me at Cincy so I know him pretty well."
Mac Jones: (much more coming here) "I'm pretty excited about it if it does happen. I haven't talked to Coach Stoops about it but I'm supposed to give him a call pretty soon. It's pretty exciting. His offense has been very powerful and explosive."
Jones said he expects that with years and physical maturity he'll be more prepared to run the ball as a quarterback in the SEC if that's what he needs to do in Gran's offense. He will visit West Virginia, probably next summer.
