Jones "hints" about a lot of things because it gets clicks. His business sells advertising based on clicks and "hints". If you throw enough mud on the wall, some of it will stick. Everyone on this board knows that Coach Stoops needs another CB, and that our coaches are actively recruiting CBs out of the portal.

In all seriousness now that it's UK offseason since they don't talk much baseball I move on. They lost me as a listener for a long while there...show really jumped the shark. Had to tune back in for the 9 win basketball season.
Now I just prefer to do podcast where you can see what the subjects they discuss are. I know ahead of time if that particular episode is going to be worth a listen or if it's going to be a waste of time because they want to talk about the Bachelor or some other dumbass pop culture crap no one but soccer moms cares about.
I will give a shout out to KSR Preshow. Shannon was always my guy on KSR. He actually knows music and doesn't have the music taste of a teenage girl or a granny from the hollers. With all due respect to the other 3 on there, rheir music knowledge and taste is atrocious and an absolute joke. Billy is knowledgeable about sports. He isn't afraid to poke Matt back either, which is good because of most of us don't agree with Matt either but he's too busy bloviating and trying to steamroll his opponent to shut up and listen. I'd much rather they get two hours to talk sports.

Matt Jones said early after UK season was over in January we had a DB from Big 12 team and was waiting for bowl season to end for the kid to transfer to UK. We'll see how this prediction plays out.

Are we discussing Christian Conyer from BG? If so, publicly available information suggests he is focused most seriously on UK and UT presently. I like UK's chances, but I wouldn't be shocked if he picks either school honestly.

Vince Marrow will throw him an insider bone once or twice a yr. Many, many more intelligent hard working UK media members do the actual work of reporting on the program, who are much more connected and worth everyone's time to follow & read.
An insider on HOB who has been correct 100% since he started posting last year posted this info in a thread several hours before Jones released it. I really don’t care one way or the other, been that way for a long, long time.
He posted that a day before and JRow wrote an article about Smith just after that saying it looked like he was coming and would be confirmed in the next few days
If Vince Marrow is actually leaking recruiting information in that way, then Marrow would be in direct violation of NCAA rules, and UK would be responsible and subject to penalization under the rules. This has nothing to do with what anyone thinks about the NCAA. All one needs to know is that Marrow does not violate NCAA rules, Mark Stoops would not allow his program to be jeopardized in that way, Marrow and Stoops are close friends, and Barnhart would fire (and has fired) anyone who violates rules or policies.
However, Senator Jones would love for everyone to believe he is receiving leaks from UK coaches. It is not very hard to figure the source of this misinformation. It suits Jones' interests perfectly. A leopard doesn't change his spots.
Come on. Coaches at UK talk off the record to media members to inform as much as influence. The reason they do it anonymously is too influence and get their POV across to the fan base. I reckon you know better but you dislike backing down in comment sections/message boards even more than you dislike Matt Jones.
Yep. If Jones is putting out football scoop, you can almost guarantee it is coming from Vince or Stoops. He is really tight with Vince.
Let's be adults who live in the real world please. Coaches leak to favored media members. Last season Liam Coen obviously had an ongoing constant text thread with Bruce Feldman.
A common misconception of the rule disallowing the “public” mention of a recruit by name.
The rule does not (and practically could not) govern private conversations.
