Lunardi's latest NCAA projections...

Looking at those 3 seeds we have every opportunity to move up to that line. Will be hard to go any higher I'm afraid.

Get by Texas and hope Maryland has a down game early and that's a bracket we go to the Final 4 with.

pretty what i see unless we move up. it's like he read my post in the last bracketology thread.

All I know is take the easier bracket and paste Duke into it. It's going to happen. The NCAA and their academic committee loves the smart boys, and promoting the image of Duke for NCAA basketball. Anyone who believes this doesn't happen is living on planet Kepler B- 316 the water world.

You guys realize Villanova would be playing a home game if we played them in the sweet 16 in Philly. Not saying UK can't win, but not a dream draw for sure.

You guys do realize the East regional is in Philadelphia and that Villanova is located in Philadelphia? That's a road game for us.

Even though KU is better than Nova, I'd much rather play KU in Louisville than Nova in Philly.

It won't matter. UK would wipe the floor with Kansas on a neutral (home) court. Can't believe how average Kansas is with all of those returning burger boys. Imagine UK returning theirs. Yikes.

I think rematch would be great, as long as you don't let Kenny Payne coach. I watch the USC game, the Wildcats looked better than I had ever seen them. Could he be in Louisville by then?

If he's in Louisville by then, then we are in the South region and he's on our bench. UL won't name a coach until after the tourney imo.

I would not want to see Texas in the 2nd round at all. This isn't the Rick Barnes Texas teams. This team would give UK major trouble inside. I also think if UK plays well down the stretch, we will jump to a 2/3 seed.
Thank you for doing what the OP failed to do. You my good sir are doing gods work

His bracket is just stupid. It starts too early with too many questions.

Its like somene starting throwing darts from 80 steps away and keeps walking closer until he can hit close to the target.

After the UT loss on the road which dropped us near bottom of Top 25 most of the Bracketologist had us at #6 or #7 seeds that week. After the UT loss and then the impressive Wins over UF, UGA and South Carolina on the Road we have moved from #6 or #7 Seeds to this week either #4 or #3 Seed in the NCAA Tourney. If you at most of the Bracketology this week some has us at a #3 seed this week. If we continue to play like we did vs. South Carolina on the road we could easily move up to a potential #2 seed which would probably be the South Region in Louisville. That would make all of us real happy to play in Louisville for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games if we get by the 1st and 2nd rounds.

I honestly don't know why anyone looks at these brackets. Yeah he guesses a lot of (if not all) the teams that make the tournament, but has no clue on the match ups.

I don't like the thought of facing Texas in the 2nd Round. If we could manage a 3 seed in that same bracket, I'd be very happy!

Unless its March, 'Bracketology' is totally meaningless. A lot can, and will change between now and March. Lunardi really needs to expand his role there at ESPN. I mean give the man credit, he's almost dead-on with who gets in the tourney right before Selection Sunday. I don't recall how good his seeding predictions are, but his predictions of what regions teams will be in and who will play who are a waste of time. I'm pretty sure this will be the first year he doesn't have us meeting up with ul the first weekend of the tourney. But him having us as a 4 seed is just consistent with our current #14 ranking, kind of a no brainer if you go off that. However, we're 2 spots from being ranked #12 or a 3 seed. Which is a strong possibility of where we'll be by season's end. But I think if we can win out the regular season and make it to Sunday in the SEC tourney, then there's no doubt we should be a 2 seed. IMO
