Lunardi's latest NCAA bracket

We need to finish strong in order to play in Louisville for the regionals. I think we have to be a 3 seed or better for that to happen.

Looking at that bracket I had no idea Dayton was having such a good season. Some nice wins there. Archie Miller gonna be movin' on up real soon.

Dayton is a good team, but they had a loss worse than ours at Auburn or Tennessee just a few weeks back losing at La Salle.

I've been over to Dayton for a game this year. Very fun environment. I'm going to their last game of the season vs VCU too which very well could be for 1st place in the A10. UD Arena will be rocking for sure

Jerry Palm isn't really good at this sort of thing (I know it's his job and all but.......) In the past 10 years since they started tracking the bracket matrix my head to head record vs Jerry Palm is 8-1-1. He ranks 56th out of 89 people who had done it 3 or more years on the matrix. Pretty good gig he has for that kind of production.

Unfortunately for me I get zero credit for having the highest score last year with 351 pts (winner had 347 pts) because I do not belong to the bracket matrix but I do post all my teams and seeds right before Selection Sunday each year.

As to the brackets I would have had Kentucky as a 5 seed as of today if I was making one. Was a little surprised Joe had them as a 4.

Now just think if we had won those 2 games we should have won against Kansas and Tennessee we would be a 3 seed right now.

Yeah every year I do the same thing but I don't have a website to post them for the Bracket Matrix. I should set up one this year. I usually do pretty good compared to others.

I can't tell you exactly what a real UK fan is, but I can tell you what one looks like....Tommy Cruse.

Has any bracketologist ever got the match-ups right outside the 1 and 16 seeds? Zero chance the brackets shake out like this as far as first round match-ups go.

way too hard to do that. If one team moves up just one spot ......not even one line but just one spot.......it throws things off.

The point system on the bracket matrix site gives points to teams you got correct as far as in the field, then points for correct seed, then less points if u get the seed within 1 spot.

As far as actually picking correct matchups......that's just way too difficult.

If you look at the Top 8 teams the #1 and #2 Seeds in the Tourney they could actually end up with 7 or 8 losses with the teans they are playing in there Conference last 8 games. I was looking at the Power Conferences Big 10, Big 12, SEC, ACC, Pac 12 and there are tough games just like Kentucky has in the last 8 games. If we can play like we did in the 3 game winning streak and the Kansas OT loss and Florida 20 point win and play that way each night we could finish strong in the SEC. Then we usually do well in the SEC Tourney in Tennessee if we can get the Top 2 seeds. WE continue to win these 8 games in SEC and do well in Tourney and win 2 or 3 and we could easily get to the #3 or #2 Seed depending on what the Top 8 teams do to finish out last 8 games and Conference Tourney. I agree with Lunardi right now being at #4 maybe #5 at this time. If we can play like we are capable of playing in last 8 games we can move up to that #3 or #2 Seed on Selection Sunday and be in the South Region heading to Louisville!

The team who strings together 6 tourney wins in this season of parity will deserve the title. The Cats have as good a chance as anyone.
