Lunardi's latest NCAA bracket

UK actually moved up a seed from the previous bracketology after losing to Tennessee. Interesting.

Thought we'd drop instead.

I really could care less about region projections right now. Let's win some road games and then I'll think about a magical tourney run. We got 4 more regular season losses staring us in the face unless something changes so I doubt our seed will be that high after that.

Yep.

Tough part of the conference schedule coming up. I doubt we're a 4 seed now anyhow, the committee isn't kind to Cal. Should of been a 2 in 2011, a 4-5 in 2014, etc.

lol I totally see something like this happening. A 4 seed in the Lousiville region

Some 1 seed is gonna be real pissed lol

Mediocrity, parity, balance, whatever you want to call it. Cats have an opportunity...

This is the absolute truth. That's the blandest tourney bracket I've seen in some time. I'm not saying we walk through it but no one scares me. UNC is the worst matchup imo.

I thought Palm leaned really hard on the RPI, which has UK at 18 or 19. Just don't see how he can justify a 7.

he's a smart man. this is pretty much what it'll be. arizona, oklahoma, then msu, lsu, xu, or duke. sounds about right. just to get to the ff. this or some slight variation i expect. the ncaa basically said in 2011 they want either fresh or historic story lines for ratings. the more dynamic the better so throw in a wichita state. so yeah they take advantage of our name. they do this to a lot of top teams not named duke/unc so i'm not as mad anymore. but it's still simple math. since we are the best (and they damn well know it) we get screwed the most. and i mean of the elites. this would make the fourth region of doom i can remember in cal's seven years. and they only had six chances counting the nit they rewarded us with.

Being a 4 seed now says to me there is still room to move up if we somehow managed to get quality wins like USC and A&M on the road.

4 seed? 6, 7? What is this nonsense? Total nonsense - I read on this very site just a few days ago we are a bubble team.

A BUBBLE TEAM.

Some of you need to make a better effort to keep up.

I've gotten to this point with the brackets where I say this :

1) "It's super unfair for ANY team to be in Kentucky's region!"
**followed by a really mean snicker**

2) "Seed ? We don't need no stinkin' seed !"

Make sure you quote me on those with a big grin & and just continue enjoying the ride, my friends !

A 2 seed is still in play for UK. They could prob afford to lose 1 or 2 road games, but they would have to win sec tourney.

Yes, I noticed that too, Mojo. SMDH. Forget seeds, forget everything else and just concentrate on how great this year's team can be when it's all said and done, is the long-term perspective I have.

The young men are working hard, putting in the work. If Coach Cal says otherwise and starts to get critical on them, then I'll listen.

Otherwise, doom and gloom on potential seedings in early February ..... wow. I'm not going to sweat the details (at least yet).

Fans overreact to wins and losses.

It's silly but it is what it is lol

I don't care which bracket we are in. We're pretty good at taking out #1 seeds, even if we aren't one. If Ulis and Murray play well, and we get some good defense and rebounding from other guys, we can beat anybody.

We still need to get as good a seed as we can get so the odds will be more in our favor though. I must say though a 4 is awfully generous at this point...but we still got about a month to go and we are known for peaking at March so if our boys (as Rupp used to call them) would just continue to try harder...

I believe it was you that was trying to tell people how to think/feel about UL "misfortune"....what does that make you? Nothing but a terrible poster...

It's just inaccurate to say UK won't end up in Louisville

Not saying they will, but seeding will matter very little when it comes to that.

1st and 2nd rounds = more important where u are on the overall seed list
Regionals = more important where you are located on a particular line and who else is on that line.
