Lsu might have just...

When will they ever learn? These kids like Simmons and Newman come in thinking they are all world and will be a different maker to lead their teams to championships. Congratulation, you only live once, only have one time to experience college basketball and you choose these crappy programs.
Look at Diallo and the other big kid at Kansas. Both played very few minutes lately.

Hopefully they lose again Saturday so that even a win in Rupp won't get them in. Would be a bad ref game for us if the SEC thot they'd get in with a big win.

LSU has done the pooch. They won't win SECT either... Stick a fork in em. Simmons can find him a nice big screen and maybe even get good seats to watch the F4 here in Houston. Past (ex HS coach)Coach Brady did better than Jones sorry as it is to say. His most heightened and visual moments in NCAA will be playing the Kentucky Wildcats of which they won 1 game.

Simmons is great, but not enough to overcome Johnny Jones.
I hate to rub salt in a man's wounds, but I gotta agree. That team has underacheived in a big way. I know they've had some injuries, but so have a bunch of teams, including UK. They did the same thing last season and the year before. Johnny Jones is the common denominator. That team should have been able to hit 20 wins this season with little problem.

Another LSU player, Pete Maravich.
Has a team ever not made the NCAA Tournament with the best player in college basketball? That will potentially happen and would be an embarrassment if that were to happen, but expected with Jones as coach. Just think where we would be if we could have added him to this team? Definitely the best team and potentially undefeated right now. It felt like a waste for him to go there when he announced it, and it looks like that will be right.

The only thing Johnny has going for him: he can recruit. And that is a big part of success. Maybe he needs to hire a top flight assistant.

Replace "Basketball" with "Football" and you could say the same thing about a recruit going to play for Alabama instead of coming to Kentucky.

Some kids think they can be a big fish in a small pond and turn a program around by themselves. And some kids don't want the pressure or the spotlight that the top programs can bring on them.

I hope they lose early in the SECT so we don't have it turn in the the BS Tourney. I've got BS fatigue. I did notice last night that ESPN was starting to turn on Simmons, even highlighting his standing around on defense a couple of times. I think they're starting to realize it's time to get some new material for their NCAAT coverage.

I have to root against LSU just for the fact that losing a few more games will lock up SEC player of the year for Ulis.

He's been that way most of the season. He'll be a great pro most likely, but he'll be known in college for being a failure. I doubt anyone will even remember where he played college.

LSU's RPI is 89 as of today. Games against UF , Mizzou both at home and @ UK. They have to go 3-0 .... and beat either UK or A&M in the SECT. That or win the SECT ... thats the only 2 ways I can see them making the tournament.
