Simmons is great, but not enough to overcome Johnny Jones.
You could give him the original Dream Team and I think he'd find a way to lose.
Yup, they got their butts kicked in hard. Win the SECT or send ben simmons on his way. Mr. Jones is truly a talented coach to have squandered away that much talent. They will never have this much talent again and he couldn't even make the tourney. He may have just started the fire on his seat after this one.

You gotta love Briscoe, but I would still like to see a little of Poy, Willis, & Hump and the 2 G's , all are capable of scoring from 12/ 20' out.

Jones seat might start getting a bit warm. He doesn't know how to handle big time recruits like Cal, K, Izzo.
Has a team ever not made the NCAA Tournament with the best player in college basketball? That will potentially happen and would be an embarrassment if that were to happen, but expected with Jones as coach. Just think where we would be if we could have added him to this team? Definitely the best team and potentially undefeated right now. It felt like a waste for him to go there when he announced it, and it looks like that will be right.

I believe that Simmons is the best prospect in college basketball, and a very good player currently also. But, the thing is, LSU has more than Simmons. I can't speak to the depth, but LSU certainly had a very nice looking starting five on paper. They have to be one of, if not the, most disappointing team in college basketball (although with the talent UCLA has, they might give them a run for their money on most disappointing).
I would think, on just about any other major Div. 1 school, that if they had Ben, he would be a clear cut POY. What Jones has done to him this year is unfathomable.

When will they ever learn? These kids like Simmons and Newman come in thinking they are all world and will be a different maker to lead their teams to championships. Congratulation, you only live once, only have one time to experience college basketball and you choose these crappy programs.
Meh, I don't think Simmons really cares about that, he's about to be a multi millionaire. That's really all that matters. He plays like he's just biding his time.
