Louiville is a cesspool

I always looked at them as a stand up organization. The gold stand of academics and a school that do things the right way, color me shocked. Bre where has @2Adulterers been? I guess he's been banned since his epic thread about Father's Day Kathy sypher/rick pitino. He usually posts all things that are negative about Louisville

City college sports programs always seen to be dirtier than most. Auburn, Memphis, Louisville, Baylor, etc. I think its because for decades they had to cheat to keep up. State vs. city. Auburn cant even go outisde the family without fear they're going to get caught. They'll hire some assistant youngstown wide recievers coach thats connected over a proven guy. Gotta know the "Aubrun Way". I guess its not universal, like North Carolina, but they were never the most popular team in state so......

I guess if you're louisville, why not. They'll never lose the Heisman, BCS appearences, and probably wont lose the title. Cant see them being kicked out of the ACC. The Yum cant be torn down. If i had been a fan of city college metro league bs, id probably say go for it too.

Here my friends is the problem. The AG son of the previous governor is himself a political hack and dirty.

The law firm where Beshear worked before his election represented the foundation for years. Beshear said Monday he didn’t perform any legal work for the foundation.

Asked if his past ties to the firm might necessitate his recusal if charges are pursued, he said: “I don’t think that we’ve seen anything now that would suggest that’s appropriate.” He added he’d be willing to “re-evaluate” if “we reach a point where there are concerns about that.”

As you may recall.....Beshear Jr interceded on the behalf of the corrupt board at UofL and tried to stop the current governor from replacing it. Beshear did not want this to happen....and now he supposedly is sitting here in judgment as to whether the criminals he allowed to remain are in fact jailed for their illegal activity? He is the highest official in the current government with reason to see this swept under the carpet.

The AG should recuse himself and I am amazed that the reporter was smart enough to ask the question in the first place.

Exactly, why he was ever elected is beyond me,but he is definitely covering up the crimes committed at UL and the political connections tied to his Daddy former Gov Beshear and people like crooked (Fake Conservative) Mitch McConnell and other Liberal Politicians with their hands in that big UL Cookie Jar,the corruption from the Pitino-Jurich Cartel's far reaching corruption needs to be cleansed from top to bottom

The fact that the story starts with "more information is needed" is beyond comical. Anyone with half a functional brain can tell that illegal activity went on. The big question is how much did UL cover up/bury before they had to turn everything over to the auditors?

The audit showed plenty that crimes happened. Now it's just how far does the govt want to dig in order to get to the bottom of this. That's where I think Beshear Jr comes in and throws on the brakes. Odds are the truth will reach beyond the cesspool that is UL.

Also, what would Jurich actually have to do to be fired? Animal sacrifices during the second quarter of a nationally televised UL football game?

I think that our CURRENT Governor now has every reason to call for the AG to press charges. Let Beshear show his true colors. IOW that he is stonewalling the investigation....clearly to protect his own actions WRT the UofL board....and possibly protect his father and other politicians who allowed this to happen under their watch.

Give me something!

Maybe a 30 for 30? Behind the Lines' expose? A criminal conviction? Somebody gets fired?

SOMETHING!

I dont know the political structure, but why can't the governor declare it "a conflict of interest" and have the Feds step in?

Yes they are a cesspool !! No if and or buts about it !! UNC has cheated for twenty years but they are not as nasty of a program (that we know of) as UofSmell !

I think the Governor could and should put political pressure on the AG to investigate this. I am pretty sure that if the Gov says its daytime the AG will say it's nighttime....so not sure he will have any real power over the AG to do the right thing. It will require people like us to demand it.

In my state, Arizona, governor runs the state.
I personally don't like the guy, but he controls everything and would definitely push the AG out of the way in this case

This was on Louisville Rivals--don't know man. While I agree I want this all to be over with and corrected, my fear is that this will touch Tom. There are things in the report that are pretty shady even from his end. While he may not have instigated some of it, he certainly looks to be a part of it. I don't want to clean this up if it means losing Tom. I guess my question is hypothetically, would you be okay if we lost Tom as a result of this?

They don't discuss it at all on the scout board, not one thread, not one word.
Just like it never happened.

Sure, the Rafters is chuck full of politicians but is the foundation ripe with state or federal funds? If not, how's a case anything but civil? Any lawyers want to chime in?

I was told our AG was part of the Arena Authority legal team and was aware or even participated in the Yum lease scam. I doubt his firm wants him to look at anything. Also thought I heard that firm donated a ton to UL Athletics post that contract.

Thankfully, the Beshear bastard's behavior has assured he has no future in Kentucky politics.

The bad news is he's going to use his position to do as much "progressive" damage as possible before he can be tossed onto the wastebin of history.

What the Hell!!!! Who cares about "Tom"?

Sorry I was not clear. That was on the Louisville board. Seems they want nothing to come out if it would cause an issue with Jurich. They continue to think they didn't do anything wrong

If you think Baylor is a city school then you've clearly never been to Waco.

Translation: "Win (compete with the University of Kentucky) at all costs!"

Beshear, like most liberal politicians will never be checked by the media...

Ultimately, this as well as most corruption in this country is the media's fault, because THAT'S who's suppose to check these kinds of things.

The media is bought and paid for at almost every level.

Remember who spearheaded UK's demise in the 70's (football) and the 80's (basketball)?

Well said Governor. CJ is a UL homer rag. There hasn't been one editorial about the UL thievery much less any coverage.
