It's currently at 30.2 points per game, which is easily the best in the nation.

Yet, if they lose to Kentucky this weekend, it's going to be pretty much all for naught. When you schedule one of the worst OOC schedules I've ever seen from a top 10 program and lose to the only two real teams you play OOC, what was even the point of beating up on all of those cupcakes? Give them credit for beating up on the teams they were supposed to but that is going to be quite a hollow, paper tiger-esque OOC if they can't beat Kentucky.

These are Lousville's 11 wins so far and their Kenpom ratings:
173 Samford
332 Hartford
139 North Florida
292 St. Francis
228 Saint Louis
131 Grand Canyon
136 Eastern Michigan
322 Kennesaw St.
157 Western Kentucky
206 UMKC
318 Utah Valley

I mean... my goodness... Woof.

The point was to rack up wins, get a good RPI, decent seed in the tourney, and try to go out on a somewhat good note. I'm guessing.

I was being somewhat facetious with my "what was the point" but I get it. I just think if they don't win the games against teams that have a pulse, all those 40 points wins are going to be looked at by the committee as essentially meaningless. Beating up the 318th best team tells you nothing about your team.

Rick knows that and he also knows how good his team really is. He is doing what he has to keeping his team relevant this season as long as possible..if not this type schedule they'd be no where fast.

I can honestly say this game doesn't worry me much and in terms of beating UL I think losing to OSU helps us . Before the season i thought we would lose to Duke , KU , at Texas A&M ,At Vandy and one other game maybe somewhere so what has happened so far doesn't surprise me really since we beat duke but lost on the road to a very good UCLA team.

Dude I don't mind your positive outlook on a lot of UK issues (I'd rather a positive outlook than a negative one. If you have negatives anyway there is no need to be negative during the process. At least get a little joy somewhere.) but UCLA is not a very good team. They caught lightning in a bottle and UK wilted.

Do believe that schedule was made before the gifts of Lee and Lewis. For real imagine UL with out those 2, were talking historically bad, they lucked the eff out getting them.

You are being nice. UL has some very impressive stats but they are almost meaningless because of the (lack of) competition.

We really have no idea what kind of team UL has, even the close loss to MSU came with it's own set of unique circumstances. We and they don't know how they will react to a close game, on the other hand they expect to win big and may play loose because of that.

We have played a tougher schedule but have under performed(except the Duke game)for the most part.We are still in search of who we are as a team

UL's schedule and the coaches who have ranked them are about as numb as you can get. You reward that kind of schedule with a ranking?
Time for UK to take the first step and expose the winners of the Minardi Classic for what they really are. That schedule should not allow you to be considered for the dance; ust a seat at the kiddie table.

Evidently it does not matter to the people who vote in the polls who you play. Looserville will be exposed by us and the ACC. They will end up middle of the pack n their conference if that

But you bring up Pomeroy as an argument for their weak SOS. That's correct. Outside MSU, they played no one.

But on that very same page they rank 20th in offense and 3rd in defense. That's ADJUSTED efficiency. Means it's already factoring in the weak SOS.

In fact if you compare the Kenpom rankings that are similar to the teams we played, they won by greater margins.

I know no one wants to give credit but they have played better than us up till this point even factoring in the weak SOS.

Congrats to Louisville for finishing the OOC with the NCAA lead in scoring margin (28 PPG). 11-0 against teams outside the top 130! You guys should be proud, that's a solid tournament resume!

That's something he's done a lot at Louisville. Beating up on Sister's of the Poor.
