Louisville Signee To Be Tried For Assault..

Guess toms checkbook got opened about the time this story hit the news.
I dont know why my thread about how we need to organize at the least an education campaign to help expose that dirty and corrupt program. I honestly feel that UK is somewhat complacent by treating them like they are above board. We should not play them in any sport until they get cleaned up. A bold move by our AD would bring this about because they are dependent on us. It is only getting worse as we all seen last year our boys could not even warm up during the pregame without being attacked and assaulted by bobby and his thugs. Drop those cheaters and criminals now in every sport!
 you're still trying to pull this off[roll]

It is apparently neither UofL or UK call about the Football Game...that is a ACC/SEC Deal for ACC/SEC Football Rivalry Week with ESPN.

Both Conferences Moved the Game from the 1st Week when it was at Louisville and the 3rd Week at Kentucky to Rivalry Week in conjunction with Florida - Florida State, South Carolina - Clemson, Georgia - Georgia Tech and now Kentucky - Louisville.

Stop with the lies you tard! There is nothing that dictates these we have to play you. It is between the two schools to agree to play and I dare you to prove otherwise. Its called a contract and it is between UK and looserville.
You dummys think you actually belong on that list of schools you listed...hahaha..u are a second rate bunch of criminal transfers that got thrown out of everywhere else and the only reason you have ever won any game is because you cheat and play in second rate conferences. You are not and never will be a legitimate football school like those in the SEC!!

Apparently Matt Jones thought he was pretty sleazy by reading what he wrote about him before they played Kansas.

So that is what you are going to base your facts on? Matt Jones, while still a fresh face on radio trying to get some attention, and didn't know crap. Ask Matt now about those days, and I would hope Cal would coach a Middle East team before ever going to ul. You are pretty dumb even for an ul fan.

You might want to read this from the Lexington Herald-Leader...from 21 August 2013:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville’s annual football game against the University of Kentucky will move to the final game of the regular season beginning with the 2014 season.

“I have been a huge proponent that the game should be played as the first game every year,” said UofL Vice-President/Director of Athletics Tom Jurich. “I’m disappointed that it will not be our opening game in the future, but most importantly, we will continue to play the game. We’ll support the move at the request of both conferences and we are very excited about our future in the ACC. I’m sure that fans across the Commonwealth will be pleased to see the series continue.”

When the series was renewed in 1994 after a 70-year break, the intrastate rivalry was played as the opening game for 12 of the next 13 years. In 2007, the timing of the game alternated to the third game of the season in odd-numbered years when played at Kentucky, then back to the opener in even years when it was played in Louisville’s Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. The Atlantic Coast Conference and Southeastern Conference, along with the athletic directors from both schools, came to an agreement to play the matchup as the last game of the regular season moving forward. Next year’s game will be played on Nov. 29, 2014.

The late-season shift will increase to four the number of ACC vs. SEC intrastate rivalry matchups on the season’s final weekend, joining Florida State-Florida, Georgia Tech-Georgia and Clemson-South Carolina, which are also played on the closing weekend.

Absolutely nothing in all that says we are REQUIRED to lower ourselves to play u tards. It only says the conferences REQUSTED it be played at the end of the year. You lie and make up stuff..just one more reason we are your moral superiors as well as your athletics superiors.
We should take the high road and cancel all the series until all your administration and coaches are thrown in jail where they belong!

Dude...you can believe what you want...the ACC and SEC are doing what more than likely what ESPN requested...ESPN has the entire ACC Content and is paying them a lot of Money and ESPN and the SEC are joint partners in the SEC Network...you know the thing that increased the SEC per school payout from slightly over $20 Million in the 2013-2014 year to over $31 Million in 2014-2015.

The undisputed fact is this...the ACC asked/told Louisville and the SEC asked/told Kentucky to move the game to line up with the rest of the In State ACC/SEC Games on Rivalry Week and both Tom Jurich and Mitch Barnhart moved it and it is lock in for a while...also, the game serves both Kentucky and Louisville with this...both the SEC and ACC Require that their schools have to play 1 Game against a P5 School Out of Conference...the game fulfils that requirement.

Drop the series....my guess if you do you will be getting a Call from Birmingham, Alabama after Birmingham, Alabama get a call from Bristol, Connecticut.

Why not C1180?

Dude that doesn't even deserve an answer. They are real quick on the trigger banning posters from other fan bases on the Card board.

I am one that welcomes the Card fans on this board but with limits. The fan that tried to tar Stoops with the same brush as Hurtt without any justification IMO exceeded that limit. His post was an outright lie.

I with you homer!!!!! We need to send a message that we don't have thugs. I don't care how many times Turtleneck uses his influence to force the press and police but he cant use his influence to force us.

It seems every week another of their players are being arrested only to see the charges mysteriously dropped. How does that keep happening? We have an innocent kid falsely accused of a crime and he is kicked out of school. Their kids do things and the police sweep it under the rug!!!!

It's funny to watch UL fans argue with "homerblue" and dork...they are more than likely Card fans, no reason to argue with the crazy posts.

Yep, it's easy for me to smell out their stupid sarcastic posts. dork has gotten away with it for years. TT Cat was banned, now it's so obvious he's back as homerblue. Give the little fellas an A for effort, even though they're failing miserably at their attempts.

Dork has been posing as a UK fan for years. Clearly a UofL fan, but whatever. Just don't take anything he posts seriously. He's not a UK fan. Homerblue is just painfully obvious.

I like that its now at the end of the year. That is when most of the perceived "major" rivalry games are played.

Gotcha...and now understand

The charges against him were dropped today, but I still think he's guilty and UL are scumbags for taking him. Stoops would never take a player that's been arrested.

You better be careful, if you talk bad about the tards some on here will accuse you of being a secret looserville fan, all the while they try to make friends with admitted ul fans like public enemy....disgusting

I just dont know how I could go on if some here didn't accept me...

Pitino and Petrino do all those things to. If all companies fired people who committed adultery and paid for abortions there would be a lot of job openings. I would of had no problem hiring Calipari at Louisville, but you have to admit his reputation is kind of sleazy. Fans will always stick up for their coaches a s long as they are winning. UK fans and UL fans are no different,

No, companies don't fire people for committing adultery and/or paying for abortions. They will, however fire your ass in a split second for hiring someone that you are sleeping with into a position where they report to you. Then you compound that by the hire being the fiance of one of your coworkers, then lying through your teeth about it when you get caught.

As for Ricky P paying for an abortion, it's a little more complicated than that. I work for a Fortune 500 company. If our CEO (Ricky P is the UaVel basketball CEO) got caught up in a public scandal/blackmail where he was banging the wife of one of his staff on a restaurant table, then was being extorted and the FBI got involved, the board of directors would demand that he step down or be fired. In UaVel's case, Turtleneck and their fans have shown repeatedly that they don't care what type of trash they hire, keep around, or sign to play.

Jurich, the Cardinals AD, on the ongoing process of cleaning up Petrino's Louisville mess:

Bobby went to areas where he thought he was strong recruiting and some of them panned out and some didn't. That's the nature of it. But listen, we had to clear out a lot of discipline issues. And our numbers suffered. We cleared 21 kids out of here, and that's a lot. That's a big hit for anybody to take, Eric. I don't know anyone that has. But we want to do things the right way.

That's gold Jerry. Gold. Hires him back after an even worse scandal with open arms. If there's such a thing as karma, it's coming to UL soon in spades.

There does seem to be a significant difference in the directions that UK and UL are headed...far from being just in athletics. UK has literally distanced themselves from UL in every category that matters for a university. The UK BOT's actually insists that the University have a long term plan and it is not reliant on any one individual. UL, on the other hand, seems to be made of Tom Jurich and Bill Ramsey. Other than investments in athletics, and providing ridiculous amounts of deferred compensation, I'm not sure what UL is doing. They are doing an excellent job of avoiding any semblance of transparency in their financial dealings.

Here's the best part. UL fans taking FSU to task over De'Andrea Johnson punching a woman in the face. Screaming for a culture of change thanks to Jimbo Fisher.

I loved the local media hyping the "hide your daughters "angle. I think a couple locals at least called them on it.

Keeping Rick Pitino. Hiring Bobby Petrino. I mean, is it even debatable that people of that character don't belong anywhere near an academic environment? And especially as "men" filling leadership roles? Add to that U of L's willingness to accept players of highly questionable character, and you have to wonder how much longer Tom Jurich and U of L can conduct business in this manner (considering the intense media scrutiny).

GBB!!!

Didn't you want Petrino here at UK before Stoops got hired?

But I agree with the rest of your sentiment other than the fact there is NO media scrutiny in that city for UL athletics. None.

Ramsey, Jurich, Petrino....don't care how they are perceived or that they are probably one of the top 3 teams in the country that give second and third chances to any player that can help them win. Even though they say they do it for the kids, everyone knows the real truth.

Louisville just named Second Best Athletic Program by CBS Sports.

I would drop Louisville from the schedule in all sports. I wouldn't play such a scummy corrupt program. UK is too good for Louisville. Louisville athletics is full of trash.

Though I think that it would be bad for the state in general - particularly for football - as a Louisville fan, I would have no problem with them dropping Kentucky from all sports. With Louisville's entrance into the ACC - scheduling Kentucky in any sport is unneeded. The reality is that neither program needs the other one.

Uh, read the post. He wasn't talking about UL dropping UK he was talking about UK dropping UL. Frankly UL dropping UK might be in their best interest, they will probably have at least a couple of losses built in before the season starts in the ACC and a yearly OOC loss would sure hurt their record and bowl appearances. UK is already dominating in basketball, and I think we will soon in football, I don't want to drop them now.

I did read the post, and I commented that as a Louisville fan I would have no trouble with them dropping Kentucky from their schedule in all sports. If it really is important for you to parse the words in the fashion of "you're fired" - "no I'm not - I quit", then I'm ok with Kentucky dropping Louisville, the two schools mutually agreeing to stop scheduling each other or whatever other semantics make you feel better.

Again - neither school needs the other. Part company and go their separate ways.

Arkansas was the highest rated SEC team in that 'list'.

I wouldn't put much stock into it.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't. It's a pretty basic metric that measures the success in 5 sports - football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and the highest rated sport from a number of others. It's only subjectivity comes from weighing football three times as much as a standard sport and men's and women's basketball twice as much. That seems about right - with respect to how much attention, time and money are put into those sports and, how they are attended and viewed by the fans.

That Arkansas scored higher cumulatively in those 5 sports than any other SEC school in no way discredits the results of the metric.
