Louisville has such a poor reputation that

Getting beat by the (at best) 7th best team in the SEC on their home field the week before took all the shine off them. They can talk head to head conference records all they want, everyone with eyes saw the ACC was by far the worst P5 collection of talent all year, and then their #2 team loses to a team that was embarrassed by all 3 other top 10 teams they played. Turns out that Louisville's playoff hopes may not have been the only ones Ray Davis destroyed with that last run.😂

You're correct OP. I know many UL fans. None of them really talk much smack and are good people. But they were getting the big head. I told them all year that it's different when you play a real team every week and not those tomato cans in the ACC. UL would probably be about where Florida is at if they were in the SEC.

Try this exercise:

Take any P4 championship (P12, B1G, SEC, Big12) and take out the winner’s QB and replace that QB with the third string QB who has not taken a snap in a college football game and tell me which of those winners STILL win their conference.

I wager the answer is none.

UL did something that would be hard to do without trying.

The talk of the ACC being 6-4 against the SEC this season is quite laughable. FSU winning against LSU was certainly a good win to open the season but it’s also early. The other wins were FSU over Florida (5-7), South Carolina (5-7) twice by North Carolina and Clemson, Vandy (2-10) to wake forest and A&M (7-5) to Miami. The last one probably the 2nd best win on that 6 win slate. 4 of 6 wins against teams who didn’t even make a bowl. Sorry ACC your conference just sucks!!!!

In your scenario we basically knocked FSU out of the playoffs therefore knocking UL out of the Orange Bowl and moving us up to the Gator. We’re destroyers, liking it.
If this sh!t works out and we can avoid Stoops taking a Mayo bath, Hell, I’ll walk to Jacksonville for the TS/Gator or Houston for the Texas Bowl wearing Louisville gear!!

Travis being injured doomed FSU in the CFP. No way they’re one of the top 4 best teams without him.
They have said from the beginning that the Committee would look at Star players injuries late in the season.

Elliott Uzelak’s offense would have been more productive than FSU’s last night.

[For the youngsters who don’t remember Elliot Uzelak’s offense at UK in the 90’s, just think of an Eddie Gran offense without all the fancy stuff.]

Interesting. Think they are referring to just the NY6 bowls?
Those are set: One G5 and the other Top 11 should now get in.

But the SEC pecking order got messed up with Ole Miss likely being NYD6, instead of Citrus.

We should land in Houston for the Texas Bowl or Jacksonville for the Gator, now.

They wouldn't be that good, better than Vandy and somewhere around South Carolina and Miss St level this season

This is my favorite thing.

I hate it for FSU. I love that FSU moving down knocked U of L out of the elite bowl games.

Uzelak's offense paired with our Black Watch defense was a sight to behold for sure.
