Louisville has NCAA Secondary Violations due to Laser Tag

Well, that is also wrong. The 1990 Spring semester had 10 enrolments and 3 were BB players. Did you look at the link?
Yep, I was looking at the Spring and Summer. Saw 1990 and assumed it was one semester full of different course sections.

It's interesting how you phrased your response though. Consider this ... 30% of the enrollments in the Spring semester were MBB, yet what percentage of the student body does the basketball roster comprise?

How much more likely was it that a student-athlete enrolled in these courses than a non-athlete?

I don't understand the importance of "who did it first." Can I get my speeding ticket overturned because there were other people who were speeding before me?

BobbyG please explain.

The man has not a speck of shame for anything the school has done. It's truely remarkable.

"Your client has been accused of killing 9 men"

"NOOOO.....Two of them were women! See how you're distorting the facts??"

I was just pointing out that what you were saying was wrong...hopefully others will require you to back up your "facts" with links in the future.

Most like to say Crowder started the irregular classes so bb players could stay eligible (without doing any real school work). However, when you see it was only 6 out of the first 28 enrolments, and none the first semester, it doesn't really mesh well with that assumption.

I acknowledged it was wrong, didn't I? Although, I do want you to consider the caveat, that at one point in time, with the information that was available at that time, it may have been an accurate statement. Scary huh? That's how many investigations there's been. Cheating cheaters keep moving the uprights.

That's water under the bridge though. Since you're here, let's discuss facts, and we'll use links.

What % of the student body do student-athletes, or just MBB comprise? How much more likely was it for a student-athlete to be enrolled in bogus courses than a non-athlete?

Or when you see that she was purposely enrolling non-athletes to throw the dogs off the scent, it is highly likely that these classes were for the sole intent of keeping MBB players eligible ...

Crowder to Walden “I have added several non-athletic persons to classes this week so am comfortable adding him to it if you think there would be time to get it complete. (This is another independent class.) It is up to you guys but it would take care of a requirement. ”

Just think, that correspondence was sent on week 10 of a 14 week semester. Amazing how that happens at UNC. Also, notice the use of "Another", and who she's emailing. Apparently, she's done that favor before.

Seriously? It MAY have been accurate. I guess you're right...but a lot of things people have said MAY have been accurate. No, I think you're misremembering something that was posted around packpride.

You see, the beauty of now having access to that website is you don't need to ask anyone. You can simply find your answer(s) there. However, I feel compelled to point out that those are enrolments, not necessarily different students -- ie, it could have been 6 different bb players out of the first 28 or only one taking 6 classes and it could've been 14 non-athletes taking x classes or 5 non-athletes taking y classes, etc., and this makes things slightly more complicated when trying to compute the percentages.

Except Wainstein was nice enough to do the math for us. Swell guy. Too bad UNC** didn't afford him the luxury of investigating the other suspect areas.

So, you wanna take a stab at how much more likely it was for a student-athlete to enroll in a sham class than a non-athlete?

Oh, and I actually saw that posted on twitter by a Duke fan, fwiw. It just stuck with me. Also, I don't have access to PP. I'm not registered on Scout. Sounds like you browse there, often.

Well, be sure to correct you Duke twitter friend...because they're wrong.

Once again, no need for me guess or even tell you, you have all the info you need. Just go and read it. Any questions you may have will be answered there.

Although, I do have a question for you, now that you know where to find all the answers. Did Wainstein calculate his numbers using enrolments or actual different students? I guess I could look, but it seems you've already looked at his numbers, so surely you've checked.

So according to bobby since the men's basketball team didn't start the fake classes just took them they shouldn't be punished. Just whoever started the classes should? Is that your take on it bobby?

It's a good thing that this was Pitinos players that did this & not some of those cut throat, thugs that Bobby Petrino has brought in. Because if it was, those hoodlums would have had UZIS & AK-47's

All I'm reading is "athletes weren't the only students in fake classes getting fake degrees! Lots of students were the getting diplomas in fake classes"!!!

BRILLIANT!!! That's the endorsement I'm sure UNC is proud of! Keep talking tarheels!!! You're really starting to win me over about this!
