Louisville Guard Koron Davis leaving team

Apparently, he's at the UL women's game, but not granting interviews. From what I've read about the story he seems like a guy trying to be better. Shame on whomever put that statement out and creating a crazy situation for the young man. It's already been crazy enough with him being at games in the crowd lol.

Weird situation. Hasn’t played a minute this year. An hour and a half before Louisville released their statement, Davis posted his grade report on Twitter and was saying how happy he is at Louisville and so happy to have the opportunity. Given the timing, it seems to me he knew something was coming.
I don’t recall anything like this before honestly. I’ve never seen a coach refuse to talk about a player, have the player watch the game from the stands, and now this.

This post is the most reasonable take I’ve ever seen on UofL message Board. In regards to whether there is a UK conspiracy to take them down. Starting with Bevin(lmfao), the Board we apparently assembled, and now Payne.

I mean the entire thing is unprecedented. We have ugly hookers, a FBI sting, FBI extortion not once but twice, a coach screwing his assistant coaches wife, a coach charged with extortion, a coach quitting mid season never to coach again, a coach doctoring evidence, and now a coach that maybe the worst hire in the history of bad hires.

Sorry can’t blame others Louisville basketball earned this all by themselves.

no idea why they would put a transfer statement out and the student is saying its news to him. That's some serious dysfunction

But there is a reason the guy isn't on the bench

Watching the game right now - the YUM center is going to be Blue when we play them. No one is there, literally more empty seats in the section behind the UL bench than people, can't even sell out behind the bench?

first time I've paid attention to Louisville

man, they can't play ball - the announcer just mentioned they have missed 10 of the last 12 shots

I bet their cheerleaders are just drunks like in the Waterboy

It's not just a basketball issue. The entire athletics department and academics has been an embarrassment to their profession for over a decade.

President Ramsey had a Cinco De Mayo party where he and the faculty claimed "to dress up as Mexicans" with sombreros and mustaches.

Tom Jurich strong-armed the city of Louisville and bankrupted the city by forcing taxpayers to pay for that arena they can never fill for their teams. The same can be said when he added on to the football stadium when they couldn't fill that space to begin with. Then their senile fanbase forgets this happened by signing petitions to bring him back years later.

Charlie Strong had some success and looked like the next big thing until he got caught fooled around with a public official/married woman (?).

Took Bobby Petrine back after his shitty exit the first time around to the Falcons with Mike Vick and after his Arkansas debacle with the motorcycle and hot young assistant.

Pitino at Porcini's with Karen Sypher, Pitino with Katina Powell and strippers and hookers, Pitino with Brian Bowen and Adidas money duffle bag.

I sincerely think there are even more issues to uncover, but I have long said for years, the 30 for 30, "Cardinal Sins" will skyrocket to Top 5 ESPN documentaries whenever it premieres.

Lol he got dismissed and UL tried to damage control and say he was transferring. Davis said uh actually im not transferring you dismissed me. What a dumpster fire.
On the press conference Kenny still wouldn’t comment on it because “Koron is such a good kid, we made a statement and that’s all I wanna say.” I’m surprised he didn’t Reiterate that he was dismissed but that he’s not actually in trouble still.

Who would've guessed that KP would be this bad at player management? I like the dude, but maybe he doesn't need to come back here.

Hell no I don’t want him back. Our staff is perfect right now. Kenny is a very nice man, but… just no.

Seems like a portion of BBN is ready to take him back. I'm not so sure myself.

He has no Will to win. None. I thought Cal was bad with his coddling of players and ending generational poverty. Kenny takes it to a whole nother level.

The whole UL basketball team qwas dismissed before the season started clearly because they aren't showing up for games.

One ended generational poverty ,the other ended occasional winning

That is the most surprising part. He was always a risky hire for them with no head coaching experience, but I figured at the very least, he’d be the type of guy players loved playing for. Instead, it seems like he’s completely lost control of the locker room between this saga and the guy who refused to suit up without a particular kind of tights a week or two ago. It looks like maybe he’s just so laid back that he was able to do well as the good cop assistant contrasting with Cal being the proverbial bad cop, but isn’t really able to take charge of the situation enough to be an effective head coach.

Doesn't help he probably had to go get some less than quality dudes due to the probation issues. He was walking into a no win situation.

The plot thickens. This is one of the weirdest things I’ve seen in college basketball. Louisville is a total dumpster fire of a program right now.

It looks like they told the dude he was out and then was covering for him to help him transfer (e.g., announcing he's transferring, which he needs to do because he was kicked off the team, vs initially saying he was kicked off) and he didn't play along. I think UL is a dumper fire but Davis is definitely trolling the Payne Train...
