Looks like UK will be kicking Lil Bros butt for a while

I am on record as having predicted that UK will beat UofL this season but I am not going to diss a team that has beaten my Cats 4 years in a row until we end their win streak.

There is posts about the transfers that UofL has coming into their program and how that should bump up their ranking. I have seen few post talking about the fact that UK also has several transfers and several of them were four stars coming out of high school. Courtney Love and Greg Hart out of Nebraska and Marcelly Jones out of Ohio State. I believe a LB out of Minnesota I cant remember his name. All of these players become eligible next year and are not in any class ranking. There might be another but if so I can not recall him.

I am really excited about the young OL that UK is bringing in. George Asafo-Adjai is a freshman at UK and is a threat to start at RT. Marcelly Jones is a high rated recruit out of high school transferring from Ohio State and UK recruited him hard out of high school. Jackson and Young are 4 star OL recruits from in state and I believe that a high 4 star JUCO Levitt is coming in next year. There is also several Sophomore OL slated to start this year and UKs very good Center Toth is only a junior. UK loses two OL in Swindle and West. with Swindle being the only one of the two presently at number one on the depth chart.

UK is overall really young on offense losing only Swindle, West and Herrick off their offensive roster.

Defense however is different and there is a lot of senior starters on the defense 9 I believe. UK has a lot of talented young defenders in the pipe line but the defense takes a big hit to graduation. Those youngsters will need to step up next year.

Banned on UL site for far less rhetoric and fanfare comments than these Tards. I'm sure it was Steelers that banned me.

UK will win this year. Mark it down. The D will be the major reason UK wins by 2 or 3 TD's.

The culture is changing and it's becoming a winning culture. You can see it amongst the coaches, players, and recruits. And you can hear it amongst the fans. Even right here on this board.

UK is 0-5 against Petrino at Louisville, 0-1 against Petrino at WKU and 1-0 against Petrino at Arkansas. Beat Bobby 21-20 his first year there. The Cards are going to be better than many of you think. Should be a very competitive game.

It comes down to consistent QB Play...from what I seen at the open practices long term the OLine is going to be OK...QB play still kind of shaky but I really like Staples and Quick in the slot now at WR,
With Devante out for more than half the season last year, dropped passes were also a huge bugaboo. Rewatching the Clemson game the other day, both Stanberry and Quick dropped perfect passes from Gardner that would have kept momentum alive in the early stages and which then resulted in a punt Clemson returned for a TD, a critcal score in a game where Clemson could not score an offensive TD against UofL.

The new corps of WR's needs to step up hugely just to maintain an average amount of momentum, much less break anything for TD's. They help a challenged O Line, keep the defense on the sidelines for a well-earned rest, and can keep a defensive secondary in place instead of pinning their ears back on blitzes on a routine basis.

I have to confess both the QB position and WR's have serious early questions. Someone reliable like Copeland or Beaumont - who essentially never had a ball leave rheir hands - needs to step into the gap of experience. I like what I see in the new TE - Hukitani - who has 4.55 speed at 6' 5" and 245 - and Bobby focuses hugely on TE's, especially when he has someone special like a Barnidge or Christian. But the WR's are a monstrous question mark until the games begin.

Just to clarify, it wasn't my logic. It's Jack Coffee and Easy Card that were letting us in on how it works. Don't kill me for it. It makes sense but if it is wrong, I am not the one that came up with that.

LoL, please tell me that you are not dumb enough to believe that BS

why did our recruits never get this jump in rating before, we still had the same amount of subscribers?
why are the 2 and 3 star players that commit to Bama or OSU not automatically jumped to a 4 or 5 star player

I assume that they are are. I don't know. Go to our board and ask Jack Coffee or Easy Card yourself. Sorry, but I do believe them. They run UofL's Rivals website. I think they know more random posters on this board.

And you are wrong again. They might know more about ul than our random posters but we've got some very well informed guys here and even some visitors from other teams that throw,in some good knowledge. What they are talking about does happen at aub and bama and UT but it's not every guy that commits there. If a kid is borderline he gets the benefit of the doubt. UK recruits do not get that. We routinely get our recruits dropped as soon as they commit. I would suggest you look up rankings by offers and you'll find that UK is beating you in recruiting using that method too.

Odd that I had never heard of him before, entirely possible since I don't go to your boards. Seems like he would be hard to miss, but he doesn't show up on your commits list the past three years, not on your depth chart and not on your team roster.

Sohe must be another transfer, or did he just get his parole papers signed? Pretty sure jurich would have been working overtime to get him released if that is the case, only three TEs listed on the team roster.

Auburn is the Tigers, not a bird. Yes in know war eagle but that is a battle cry, not a mascot or nickname. None the less, I get your point and no doubt it will be a measuring stick. I hazard to guess however that if we win or make it close auburn will be called overrated.

They actually have an Eagle mascot that flies over the stadium, I guess weather permitting, every home game, no tiger to be found. They also go by Plainsmen for some reason.

He was a extremely late commit but is having a very good Fall camp so far

Hikutini (6'5, 241) is rated the the third best junior college tight end in the country by JCGridiron.com, the junior college recruiting arm of the Rivals network. He's just below Epps, who was the original junior college target for the position. In his highlight video below you can see he's an extremely good receiver that runs good routes and locates the ball well. Obviously, he'll need to improve run blocking, but having another receiving weapon at tight end will help for next season while also allowing Aaron Cochran to redshirt and take his time growing into his tight end/h-back role.

Hikutini will give Louisville two junior tight ends (with Keith Towbridge), a true sophomore tight end (Charles Standberry), and a redshirt freshman tight end (Mickey Crum).

I knew about the bird before the games and the war eagle chant but never understood the reasoning behind it. The good news from the Wikipedia entry on the topic is apparently Auburn fans don't know either. Its just something they do, like LSU fans smelling like corndogs. It can't be helped.

Thanks for the correction...he was here for the Spring

Odd that you weigh in to a thread with this subject matter without "going to UofL boards" and determining the storylines. Even odder, perhaps, is research which omits Hukutini somehow, inasmuch as he was in Louisville participating in Spring practices.

Man that is funny right there.

What is odd is that you are over here on our boards and not your sorry Card board.

Thanks for the research, never was very good at some of those languages, although I am improving from trying to interpret some of the gibberish some of our trolls are bringing over with them.

And no, I don't go on other people's boards and aggravate them, (not that my name alone wouldn't get me banned there before I typed a letter, let alone a word, LOL) but I had never noticed his name mentioned on the long lists of UL players guaranteed to make UL a better team this year------most of them transfers, and most of them kicked out of other schools.

I still find it odd that he doesn't show up on Rivals lists on the depth chart, commit lists, or even the roster.

Edit: Just checked again and now he is on the commit list for 15, wasn't before, but still not on the other two lists. The SEVENTH JC commit in the class. Why is he just now showing up, and if he just got to campus isnt' it asking a lot for a FIVE POINT THREE two star to contribute a lot arriving this late, and I admit a LOT of Brooks success was built on finding great 5.2 AND 5.3 two star talent. Why so low with that kind of size and talent, any other problems? Smoka da weed, is that why he joined UL?

Lots of things AU fans don't know, things like 90% of their alumni would be alumni of Bama, UF, UGA or GT if they could get in to those schools. Academics were so bad it almost lost accreditation a few years ago. Its the backup plan for kids in 3-4 states. So them not knowing something isn't a big surprise.

Weed rocks, jauk. If ever there was someone who could use a hit, it might be you. I am here to help, brother.

Probably a lot of your fans help the players out, a major reason you are getting some good players, (along with being Transfer U) and you can hope they all survive.

Never even smoked a cigarette, let alone anything else, and the only way I would even consider it now is if I were terminal or it were prescribed by my doctor.

I also never had a drink until after graduating from UK, the army, and then only to loosen up, very introverted until then, believe it or not. I really overdid it for a couple decades, but always just to party, me and my wife were in a party crowd, VERY lucky I never had a DUI or was involved in an accident where anyone was hurt or major damage was done.

I finally figured out what caused hangovers, don't drink much at all now, you can't afford to if you drive. A BIG money maker for the lawyers and the state, and something that can ruin your life.

Driving is a privilege my a$$, it is a necessity for most people.

Good man, Jauk!
I think we just got a snapshot of the difference between the fanbases! I cant believe this guy is so brazen of a junkie that he would come on a public board and try to push his dope! I have reported this drug fiend to the State Police and hopefully they have tracked him down via his IP address!

Dude it seems you are over here in another thread exercising your " Master Baiter" license.

UK fans may hate this. While I want to beat UL every year, my dream is that every year both teams come into that game ranked. I want our rivalry to have national significance.

As for this year, I want to be passionate about my cats. I love college football. I do not want to be passionate about hating the cards.

Pretty much feel the same...do I want to beat Kentucky yes...but would much rather beat a good Kentucky team that is going to Bowl Games and very competitive in the SEC East.

Louisville and Kentucky right now really doesn't recruit against each other...Kentucky under Stoops appears to be hitting the prospects outside of Jefferson County in the Commonwealth, Ohio, Georgia and Florida. Louisville under Petrino recruiting area is Jefferson County in the Commonwealth, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Alabama.
