Joker Phillips was close to coaching in a conference championship game last year, might get close or actually in it this year. Maybe not as HC, but as AHC. Has helped turn Wolfpack around. Sounds familiar.
He'd coach offensive circles Hamdan, Coen, Scang, and anybody else that has been involved in offense since the Andre Woodson era.
May not have been HC material, but as OC he could light up the score board with no names from Danville, Radcliffe, and Louisville Kentucky.

To me, it’s worse than the Joker years. He was playing with MAC-level talent. We have 6-7 guys who will make the NFL. He fields a respectable defense most years but has no clue how to run a modern college offense. It’s the same crap every single year. And probably why he’s run through more offensive coordinators than Liz Taylor did husbands.
Mincey was good at TN but sucks now. Stoops' teams have always had problems pass blocking, even when Schlarman was here. This is nothing new.
Give A&M fans credit, they revolted and kept his ass out of there unfortunately to our continued demise.
Imagine if Andre and the gang had defensive talent to get them the ball back and more opportunities to score! He may have broken all time passing records.
