Lonzo sitting out game vs. Kings

I'll guarantee, in their long careers going head to head, you'll always see Fox outplay Ball head to head...I think Fox took it as the ultimate slap

What a sh!t. There was an immense amount of excitement about this game. Ball would have even had an advantage because he'd had a night off, unlike Fox.

Exactly, if he can't out play a rookie drafted after him in an exhibition, how's he gonna play against the league's elites in real games?

Its a bit more than facing a rookie. If Ball gets abused by Westbrook its a total non story. If he gets shown up by Fultz or even Dennis Smith/Frank Jackson etc it's met with a mild shrug at this point.... Getting abused by Fox again becomes a national story, lights up twitter....

He is trying to establish a brand. This being the summer makes us feel like its meaningless and from a long term development perspective it is.... But right now there is much more attention focused on him than there will be a month into the season. This game is basically a no win situation for Ball. Best case he has a line similar to his last game and Fox has an off night. It will be a mild positive but without scoring 30+ he cant dream of a victory that will match the earlier loss and it won't do too much for him.... If he gets embarrassed again his rep takes a big hit at a make or break moment.

From his point of view the way to get revenge on Fox is helping his team win more games than Fox does for the Kings. A few months into the season if they are comfortably better than Sac people will forget the whole Fox thing.

By doing this Lonzo is affirming what everyone already knows anyway...Fox owns him!

It wouldn't be good for the BBB brand

Daddy Ball will say Fox is lucky his boy was hurt or he would have laid the SmackDown on him. None of those other matchups matter. This is where the big boys play. (If they don't have a hurt vagina that is.)

Good for Fox posting that emoji. It's time people start throwing it back in their faces. If dad wants to keep talking about how good his son is, then he shouldn't back down from Fox. His groin didn't seem to be bothering him during that triple-double last game. Everyone knows Fox was going to shut down Ball and that busted-ass shot of his and this was their way of avoiding the embarrassment again.

Lakers didn't want that backlash from their fanbase that would come with the head to head. Easier to dismiss it when it's further removed from draft night.
