LOL @ Dook fans

Nothing like the seething hatred of Dookies. These quotes a bunch of garbage. Calling the kids on our team punks? They're literally delusional. Disconnected from reality.

Hard to find a lot of neutral opinions on other teams when you are on a sports message board filled with die hard sports fans.
You most certainly could. Let's not portray like everyone over here is wearing a golden halo while all the other fan bases are just horrible cretins.
No doubt this is true. However, what I find so hilarious is for Dook fans...DOOK fans of all people...to be throwing around the "favorable whistle" and "easy path in the NCAA" complaints about other teams. I could write a book about Dook's preferential treatment in both areas.

Funny...that must be how the Dukies smoked ND by 30 or more after losing to them earlier. They just "choked"...couldn't have been anything the Dukies did because we sure as hell know they can't/don't play defense.

You could easily switch this around and find almost identical posts from UK fans about Duke.

Kentucky, is apparently, the only team in college basketball that has the officials on the road, in neutral site games, and at home. I've never seen anything like it.

Gotta be tough for the Dukies this year. They finally beat out UK for the #1 recruiting class and UK steals their thunder anyway with an undefeated season. And KAT might even steal Okafor's #1 draft pick.

All fanbases do these things, ours included. It's mostly harmless, except maybe hard personal attacks on players, which should result in a ban imo. Would love to see any internet poster, myself included, have to hook up to a hot wire connected to their privates before being able to post, and any non-truth posted resulting in an electric fence type jolt. Surely the technology exists for such contraptions, doesn't it?

Neue, the reason duke' s losses are relevant is because Duke posters are proclaiming superiority over Uk despite the losses. They call Uk lucky, and says we will bow out early because we havent played anyone, while completely ignoring Duke's terrible losses. They also calls Uk players dbags while failing to point out that a duke player was kicked off the team for being a rapist... a year after coach k knew about the accusations. The fact is, many of your blue- deviled bretheren are pure hypocrites. Your team is the poster child for getting favoritism and you just cant stand it that the. Ats are superior. You are right, time will tell.March is upon us and I hope like hell we get to play you in the finals....not because you lost.to notre dame and miami...i just want to watch the Cats roll all over you! If the game is called fairly, you lose by double digits!,

I had a similar convo with a Duke grad last week. Basically, they disregard all of their losses and compare their wins to UK's. I had to stop him mid-sentence and remind him that you can't just throw out two blowout losses. If I were an opposing fan, I'd prefer that UK went into the tourney untested. This team is resilient and knows how to dig themselves out of a hole. If/when we get punched in the mouth later this month, we will know how to respond. Duke, on the other hand, will collapse like a house of cards.
You must not have seen the games where Duke was "punched in the mouth" got down by double digits and still came back to win. There have been several. This isn't last years team by any stretch of the imagination.

BTW I think you can throw out two blowout losses. In College Basketball time, that was a lifetime ago. Duke has won 10 in a row and those two games were the beginning of January. They are not the same team. But really it doesn't matter, the tournament will tell it's own tale. I've seen some Duke teams enter the NCAA'S having lost 4 of 6 down the stretch or having been blown out in the league tournament only to end up in the Final Four and even win a National Title. I wouldn't hang my hat too hard on Miami and State just as I wouldn't read much into some close road wins in SEC play for Kentucky. That's what College Basketball is about, and when you go on the road these teams are going to give everything they have to beat you.
You should have lost at home to UNC (UNC blew it, but kudos to Jones for making plays down the stretch).

An absolutely HORRIBLE Virginia Tech team took you to OT. Virginia Tech is 10-20 on the season.

Again, congrats for pulling it out, as that counts for a lot. But I can't help thinking that NC State or Miami would have throttle you again on the night you squeaked past VT.

You are right about one thing...the tournament will tell its tale.

A deep bench and getting the other team in foul trouble has nothing to do with winning close ball games late. If yall wind up playing them in the tourney, get ready for the big one shoved up ya. the refs will call a foul on you if you breath on them.

Okafor enjoys a whistle unseen for a freshman in a long, long time. He gets away with twice the contact afforded his defenders.

I thought the OT win against a 10-20 Virginia Tech team was a huge step in the right direction.

Hey, out of curiosity... who is the all time leader in free throws made?

Crazy that he has nearly 350 or so more attempts than the first Duke player to show up on that list, despite playing FEWER games. Just for reference, that is more than TWICE the number of attempts that Jahlil Okafor has had all YEAR. Yes, you are reading that correctly; your guy has roughly the equivalent of two entire SEASONS of free throw attempts more than our guy while playing fewer games.

GTFO with that bullshit. Go back to worshipping your dead cheater of a coach, whose big contribution to the game was "Let's get up by a few points and then hold onto the ball so we can win," and pray that the NCAA doesn't vaporize your program like they should for 30 years of systematic cheating, hanging with drug dealing pimps, Wheels for Heels, Tami H blowing her boss and getting flown around to watch Ben play, mouthguards, a grad school that did whatever the athletic department asked, and players doing drugs in Roy's house, while Roy maintains that Haiti ain't got NOTHIN' on losing some basketball games.

Typical response from duke fans, most of them are spoiled rotten kids still on the t**, I hope we meet them in the NCAA'S too although I'm not sure they really want to. They have been fortunate against us in recent games catching us after we just lose a great class or are down a little but we still lead the series 11 to 9 and will expand the lead if we meet again, as far as getting a good whistle, they have benefited more than any team ever and still do.

Saw JO lower the shoulder twice into Meeks to clear out, yet they call a foul on Meeks. How do you guard him other than getting out of his way to avoid a foul.

Agreed. Meeks just stands there with arms straight up, trying to hold his position. Okafor lowers his shoulder, knocks him backward, makes the basket and draws the foul. Nothing else Meeks could do except, I guess, flop. Then it would just be a no call.
