See how many examples of hypocrisy you can find in the below remarks culled from the devil's den. I think #9 and #21 are my favorites...especially coming from Dook fans. I bolded them for emphasis.
So what's the deal they just don't call fouls on Kentucky?UGA guy gets hammered on a drive and no call, but refs blow the whistle every damn time Kentucky takes a shot.SEC refs keeping UK in this game until they can settle down and win it.It has started. No way the refs let Kentucky lose. They'll rob the Dawgs if they have to.And with help from the refs this one is about to go UK's way.I have this feeling Kentucky is getting knocked earlier than everyone thinks in the tourney...gut feelingAgreed. Been telling people they are RIPE for an upset in the tourney.I hope Duke plays Kentucky in the tourney. Man I really do. Duke's top 3 are better than Kentucky's best 3. Bright lights and pressure. Teams seem to fade away like a mirage at the end of their games. Must be Cal's "magical" coaching lol. I've never seen a head coach act so moronic on the sideline...melodrama king. He can always get a job as a soap opera star when they go on probation again.UK will get a cakewalk bracket too. You know it. I know it. The American people know it.Everyone knows the SEC is trash...Calipari always has some excuse ready just in case his team slips up...even if he wasn't a snake in the grass I would still hate him. He spews bull **** every time he speaks. It's unreal. It's like he's always trying to win an election. He's all about self promotion.Even if these teams are giving UK their best shot, its not even close to what a on average ACC team's best shot would be. UK is making these games close, not the competition. Their outside shooting can be horrible at times and I don't think that will fly in the tourney. Kentucky may be able to sleep walk thru the SEC, but we shall see how they do when it really counts
 
It's nothing that UK did or does, they just choke.

Wow! Talk about some of the most hypocrisy I have ever read! Lol Their Top 3 better than our top 3! Lol most their burger boys would not of been burger boys if they did not commit to duke! If they can survive to get to us they better learn to play defense!!
 
Watching that game last night I can see where some of them are coming from: we did play awful for a goodly part of the night

On the other hand, it's appalling how impoverished the average fan is (ours and theirs) at taking a measure by direct observation and reporting anything objective at all from those findings

We are, as a species, piss-poor at impartial judgment

They'd probably have a shot at us if we had to play them 3 on 3.

Unfortunately for them they have to put 5 on the floor and our guys 4-9 are about 10x better than their guys 4-9.
 
They will be lucky to win the ACC tourney. Sounds like they are hobbling into it. Okafor coming of his ankle sprain, and tonight apparently Jefferson and Winslow also rolled their ankles. Doesn't really matter though, as I don't think that tourney is going to affect their seeding.

Exactly and their 4-9 probably would never been ALL AMERICANS if they did not sign with duke. That is pretty much a fact.

D-bag kids? We actually have a team of really good kids. Nice kids, smart kids, polite kids, considerate kids . . . every single outsider who interacts with them says so. I guess they could still somehow be d-bags, but random jealous Duke fan doesn't know that to be true. Now, speaking of obvious d-bags . . .

I've seen the same said about dUKe, UNC, the "Tards... but the thing is, we need to post this list after the tournament as a He said/She said thing, and see who was correct!

Yeah, this comment actually pissed me off. Most of them I just laugh and smdh, but this is not cool. I can't think of anything our kids have said or done to qualify them being calle "d-bags", and even if they had, that sort of sort of stupid sh*t is over the top, even for message boards.

Me too. The rest I laughed at; this made me angry. This is an outstanding group of young men, as shown by their on-court demeanor, their post-game interviews, and the stories you hear from real life. I can handle them trash talking, but insulting our players, who are such good kids, really got me worked up.

Duke has a couple of low post players that really suck at the free throw line. REALLY suck. Likely that just one of them (OK4 - all rights reserved) has missed enough front ends during conf. play away games to acct. for why Duke has 17 fewer attempts on the season. Otherwise, these numbers are mostly even.

Who cares what those idiots think? I hope and pray that we play them in the tournament. Then we'll see how much shit they are talking once the time expires!!
 
In everyone of the statements in OP's post, you can remove the word Kentucky and insert Duke and it would be 1000x more truthful. The dookies won't admit it but nobody and I mean NOBODY gets a more biased whistle in their favor than they do.

Guess they didn't watch any of our games during the regular season. Remind me, again, what's our record against the ACC so far? And what 2 teams did we beat? It certainly wasn't Wake Forrest and Miami.

I was in a conversation with a duke fan yesterday that seriously asked me if uk has played a top 10 team all year. I said yep at the time we played them. Kansas texas, louisville, not to mention top 25 Arkansas and unc. And current top 25 providence to the mix. All double digit wins except texas iirc. His come back was yeah but you almost lost to uga. I said ok if you call an 8 point victoey almost losing. But duke lost to nc effing state, blown out by notre dame, and lost to Miami. .....crickets for 10 seconds them but cal cheats and k doesn't. I just walked away.

I had a similar convo with a Duke grad last week. Basically, they disregard all of their losses and compare their wins to UK's. I had to stop him mid-sentence and remind him that you can't just throw out two blowout losses. If I were an opposing fan, I'd prefer that UK went into the tourney untested. This team is resilient and knows how to dig themselves out of a hole. If/when we get punched in the mouth later this month, we will know how to respond. Duke, on the other hand, will collapse like a house of cards.
 
Priceless considering they only avoided losing at home to a UNC team we spanked because of an epic collapse on UNC's part and some awful end-of-game officiating.

You must not have seen the games where Duke was "punched in the mouth" got down by double digits and still came back to win. There have been several. This isn't last years team by any stretch of the imagination.

BTW I think you can throw out two blowout losses. In College Basketball time, that was a lifetime ago. Duke has won 10 in a row and those two games were the beginning of January. They are not the same team. But really it doesn't matter, the tournament will tell it's own tale. I've seen some Duke teams enter the NCAA'S having lost 4 of 6 down the stretch or having been blown out in the league tournament only to end up in the Final Four and even win a National Title. I wouldn't hang my hat too hard on Miami and State just as I wouldn't read much into some close road wins in SEC play for Kentucky. That's what College Basketball is about, and when you go on the road these teams are going to give everything they have to beat you.
 
That's a lot of awful opinions. At the same time though, you could pull up a Duke game thread from our board and see some of the same ridiculousness from our fans.

Hard to find a lot of neutral opinions on other teams when you are on a sports message board filled with die hard sports fans.

You most certainly could. Let's not portray like everyone over here is wearing a golden halo while all the other fan bases are just horrible cretins.
 
Neue Rebel, I like you as a poster but you most certainly can't just throw out those losses. In those games the Achilles heel of your team, defense ranked 66th on Ken pom, is the reason for those losses and will be the reason I highly doubt duke can win the title with. Your offense is great, and can carry you a long way, but history shows that if you don't have a top 40 defense you won't win the title.

Your team has certainly showed resiliency in tough games, like that epic Virginia win. There is still time for your defense to get better. You could get it to 40 by playing late into the tournament if it improves so who knows. I still think overall you guys are the 2nd best team in the country and have improved a lot. Would love to play you guys for the title.
 
Neue, those are good points. However, I think there's something to be said for the fact that UK has responded to the challenge 100% of the time and Duke has not.

I love how Towns has been taking some of OKAFOR S THUNDER Its Great!HEY DUKE FANS! YOUR DEFENSE SUCKS AND KENTUCKY WILL RIP IT A NEW ONE IF WE WERE TO MEET UP! HATE ALL YOU WANT ITS CUTE!!!
