Said he just has to learn to play without fouling. Poor schmuck doesn't realize he was destined to get 5 last night before the game even started; whether he actually fouled or not.

Few wasn't much better although it would have appeared to have been sour grapes since his team played like dog crap. He was bent over two years ago against Duke and then again last night; but If he thinks not talking about it is going to get him any calls in the future then he's just a fool.

Since I didn't watch the game the only foul I seen called on him was the offensive foul where he was trying to get post position. If the other four were as bad as that one then he had no chance to begin with.

I think that was the fastest I have ever seen a good player foul out in a tournament game. He is REALLY good. There is a .gif of him grimacing and probably cursing on the bench after he went out. I don't think he really believes what he said.

As Fox was in ours, which was why it was odd that he was out with 12 mins to go in the first half while Berry hadn't even drawn one foul (and they had none of their major starters with 2 in the first half).

Last night was like Deja VU. At halftime Gonzaga had 3 starters with 2 fouls. UNC had 2 bench players with 2. The total fouls looked even but when you saw who had the fouls you knew what was going on.

A couple more were. Every time he got back in game he would make a play and then a few minutes later the whistle would blow. Foul on Collins. He looked like a huge difference maker but did not play much bc of fouls.

If you listen to any of the comments from gonzaga players and coach it is apparent they were told to bite their tongues about the officials. there is no way in hell they mean what they say. They got screwed as we did and the whole nation knows it.

The Collins kid got five fouls on him in just 14 minutes while Meeks got four in 22 minutes of play.

I think the whole game was called poorly, I think they whistled every touch foul and it ruined the game.
But, Collins played like an idiot. When you are in foul trouble you can't reach, you can't force your way into a scrum, you can't try to block every shot and you can't go over someone's back to claim a rebound. He did all of those 5hings, he played recklessly and should have been called for even more fouls. He has to play smarter than that.

UNC had guys that have been through this a few times and they fully understand what you can and can't get away with.

I'm not saying UNC didn't benefit, they certainly did, but Collins made it too hard for the refs to not call fouls on him.

Collins and Parnowski were known for foul trouble. It's why few rarely played them together. He had to use one to sub the other.

But, Meeks summoned his inner Sean May and got away with murder the entire tournament. They let him play by a different set of rules.

Credit to Meeks for improving to the point that he was good enough that it mattered. Because last year it wouldn't have he just wasn't good enough yet.

I expect UNC fans to defend it. We would too. But the CBB media defending it only makes the sport they cover for a living so much worse.

I love Mike Decourcey because he's been good to us but he's is also one of the worst when it comes to enabling the things that are wrong with the sport. He's defended UNC, the officiating, for years now.

Most in the media just default to giving coaches and guys that's have "been around" the benefit of the doubt and that's a problem.
