I've been posting his videos in different threads, but this guy deserves his own thread on here.

FIFYWe tried to warn them all. They thought they were getting Cal from 2009-2015. Instead they got LITTLE HOUSE AND WALTONS Cal
I thought they would at least make the tournament. He calls out UK fans in this video. Says UK fans didn't know it would be this bad and all he heard from us was that Cal would lose in the first round.
BS, Cal was losing to mid majors in Rupp and this Arkansas team, while talented, is not as talented as what Cal had at UK. It may be better than 12/13, but the rest of Cal's teams had more talent.
Not only that, we saw this coming the second he lost Welch and Antiqua and replaced them with Brad and Kenny. That is a recipe for disaster.
Matt Jones reminded us that Tyson chicken sent a gift basket of Tyson nuggets to KSBar after the Cal hiring. Dudes were trolling, so they deserve this.

Very true ..The most bizarre thing to me is Cal went to 4 final fours in 5 seasons and then just died. Wisconsin killed him. Broke him.
Ask a trivial question one day to a young fan. Who is the UK coach to take the team to the most final fours in a 5 season period? Not hall or pitino or Rupp (although P and R had 3 in a 5 season stretch each with Rupp going 3 for 3 to win it all!) But calipari.
What a collapse and fall from grace
I predicted they wouldn’t make the tournament as soon as his roster was finalized. You can go back and look.He calls out UK fans in this video. Says UK fans didn't know it would be this bad and all he heard from us was that Cal would lose in the first round.

Cal may be one and done.
His rapid decline and inability to keep up with the changes in college bball really is sad but not unprecedented. The most bizarre thing to me is Cal went to 4 final fours in 5 seasons and then just died. Wisconsin killed him. Broke him.

I just watched another podcast where he was joined by 2 others and when the UK fan comments came up, they kept saying UK fans only warned them about post season losses.I thought they would at least make the tournament.
We told them what Calipari was. They didn't believe it. He's exactly what we said. The SEC is just tougher than it's ever been. Cal has no free wins.
He's STILL going to the same old recipe, which hasn't worked in 5 years. He's still wanting to overwhelm teams with talent. And the talent gap isn't there.
I don't think 2015 broke him, because it was just 2 years after that when he went 27-5 with Monk, Fox and Bam. That team was legit and we got hosed. The most bizarre thing to me is Cal went to 4 final fours in 5 seasons and then just died. Wisconsin killed him. Broke him.

All I can say is thank you Arkansas, you took Cal off our hands and saved UK 40 million bucks.I've been posting his videos in different threads, but this guy deserves his own thread on here.

That's the thing, most of the guys that played for Cal, especially in his later years, seemed to struggle. The better guys had their moments, but rarely sustained it. Then, after they left UK, they always seemed to explode and Cal would be right there to take credit for the explosions.I think we're all super surprised that Davis has been so horrifically bad. But otherwise, they are who we thought they were. And Cal is DEFINITELY still the same guy. Poor Ellen can't bake enough brownies to change any of that, God Bless Her.
They aren’t 0-5 (yet)I just watched another podcast where he was joined by 2 others and when the UK fan comments came up, they kept saying UK fans only warned them about post season losses.
I call BS. He freaking lost 8 regular season games last year with an elite roster that had 2 lottery picks coming off the bench.
Also, he keeps losing to mid major programs at home. The massive NCAAT losses are just a bigger deal.
But I would love to let them know this. The roster Cal has, would be good in the hands of any other coach, but it is a terrible fit for Cal and as soon as I (and most UK fans) saw how incredibly deep the SEC was this year, we all knew Arkansas was in trouble.
Now, nobody predicted 0-5 to start, but nobody is surprised, not after what we have seen from Cal and what we know of the assistant coaches he has.
The comparison someone made earlier about Cal being Michael Scott from The Office, is a very good one. Obliviousness at it's finest.
None of us were excited about the roster Cal had lined up for this year. None of the freshmen were rated very high and we all knew Cal has to have extreme talent. We were headed for a disastee of a season.I predicted they wouldn’t make the tournament as soon as his roster was finalized. You can go back and look.
I debated reaching out to this guy just to show him there were absolutely some of us that saw THIS coming.
Yeah, I get that, just look at who and where they are playing Saturday. They aren’t 0-5 (yet)
If he was smart, he would call it quits after this year. Next year won't be any better, because he refuses to listen to anybody. This would be the ultimate ironic ending to this man's career. I hope it doesn't happen but it's looking more realistic. I'll be pulling for him to turn it around, except in Lexington.
No. This is different than Rupp. Rupp wasn't some rich narcissist that talked down to people, shit on his fans and blamed everyone for his failures, well, that I know of anyway.Look it is fun at first to see him do the same thing elsewhere. But after that it is sad to see a good coach lose it towards the end of his career. Rupp lost a step and even with Rupp losing a step in the 60s he was 10 times the coach Cal is now.
Just let the man figure out how to quit the thing he has loved for too tong. Same for any boxer, or other old retiring player of just about any sport.
Thats fine for you. Me, I am over Cal. I feel sorry for the guy. He should have left the game 6 years ago, Ali should have left the fight game, 5 or 6 years earlier, Bradshaw and so on. When you think you are the IT thing no matter the sport, including Rupp, you have a hard time leaving. Look at what Rupp did to hall. Sitting in on his practices, in a recliner at the game, things like that. It is very hard to leave once you are that invested. Hope Cal retires this year. Hope he enjoys his retirement but he will not. You will see him involved somehow somewhere.No. This is different than Rupp. Rupp wasn't some rich narcissist that talked down to people, shit on his fans and blamed everyone for his failures, well, that I know of anyway.
The Basketball Bennies stuff and total lack of respect for the fans that paid his salary, got him in this hot water.
Nobody should feel sorry for this guy. Just listen to his pressers, he's blaming his players and acting like he's doing everything right. He doesn't look bothered by the losing, his tone doesn’t change. He deserves everything coming his way while he collects 5 million a year.
