You used to make the same stupid argument about the NBA guys under your other aliases.I just thought a list of current NBA coaches, some of actual current NBA contenders, plus the Furman coach who has 1 NCAA appearance and is currently 11-9 had to he satirical. Guess not! 🤣
I did all that and they just let me stay around here? I can tell this poster has done a real number on your psyche. You might consider professional help, man!
How many times has Scott Drew been past the sw16 in the last decade? How many Big12 tournaments has Baylor won under Drew? What about Big 12 regular season championships?1. Scott Drew
Lol, there are actually some NBA guys that I could see, just none of the one's you named. Lol.You used to make the same stupid argument about the NBA guys under your other aliases.
UK is a pay increase for every name on the list except for one. In some cases, UK would increase the pay by 3 to 4 times what some of these coaches make.
If you don't think that money matters, it's probably because of the distortion of logic that all of your multiple accounts are creating in your mind.
My calls in this order.
Nate Oats. A jerk yes. But the style is good and they do play defense. He’d do great here. This is the guy imo.
Bruce Pearl. He’s 63 but would kill it here for 5-10 years.
Dusty May. Yes I’d be willing to take a chance.
If the above say no, which is a possibility then Lamont Paris. Idk if he’s ready but he looks ready.
That seems like the coach we would get if Cal got to pick. Brad as assistant.I wasn’t very excited but I heard last year from some former players that are still connected to the program that Sean Miller would be our next coach.

He is almost 100 though. Still bet he’d get us to a Final Four. The man is insane. 😂Whoever it is, it needs to be a good one. My hope was Cal would at least get us back to a FF before he left. At this rate he is going to leave whoever were to take over a similar "state of the program" as he found it.
The problem is there aren't any 2009 John Calipari's out there....or are there?
We clearly sold our soul to bring him in, why not do it again.
Rick Pitino
I bet he'd take the job for free....or damn close to it.
Bring him back for a few seasons to make this right again.

It wouldn't be an increase though. Many of those NBA coaches make money from other areas that Cal doesn't because UK already includes them in his contract. They also don't have to deal with recruiting, NIL, transfer portals, young kids, their parents and handlers. They also don't have to deal with a 1 out tournament structure, fans that meltdown after any loss, and all the other bullshit that college coaches deal with. There is no academic side of things to worry about and eligibility concerns and everything that goes with that side of it.
Money of the amount we are talking doesn't really matter to people already making millions. Otherwise, why would other coaches have turned us down so easily in the past.
Also, we aren't likely to pay the next guy what we currently pay Cal. Cal won a title, went to 3 other F4's, several E8's and several conferences championships before we raised him to his current level. The next coach likely starts around the 6 to 7 million range.
John Vincent D’Onofrio CalipariWho we replacing?
Is someone leaving? lol
Why were you afraid to answer the questions? We don’t play in the Big 12. I think he’d win here at a high level.
Why were you afraid to answer the questions?
Lol, so he would be more successful because he left P5 Big12 and came to P5 Sec, which are very similar conferences in basketball, just cause he would?
Lol, Baylor was in the E8 in 2009 and 2012. Then they went a decade before making another one, which are the only 3 E8's Drew has ever made. So, they were so bad that within 5 years, he could get them to the E8, and again 3 years later, but then he needed a decade to make another? And this is why he also couldn't win a big 12 tournament ever and could only manage to share the big 12 championship 2 times? All in a 21 year career at Baylor? If you’d like to ignore the difference between Baylor and Kentucky and the situation their program was in when he took it over, then sure. He sucks. You’re the winner. I think he’s the right guy for the job.
Mr Swanson, I agree Drew isn’t him.Lol, Baylor was in the E8 in 2009 and 2012. Then they went a decade before making another one, which are the only 3 E8's Drew has ever made. So, why would we want a coach that needs such a long time to rebuild?
Also, the big 12 is one of the top conferences. TX is the most talent rich state in the nation as far as recruits go. Baylor has been among the better recruiting teams over the last decade. They have a ton of wealthy donors, particularly big oil money. There is literally no excuse for them to only be past 1 sw16 in the last decade.
This is about where I'm at with my first two. After that it gets a bit more fluid and uncertain. My guess is Dusty ends up in Bloomington next year. Drew is maybe a third choice. Paris, maybe. I like Oats, but Bama won't make it easy. I'd be happy with Pearl, although I do wish he were a bit younger. Not a deal breaker though. The guy is a blast, high energy, good style of play. He definitely understands the SEC and what it would take at Kentucky. Give me Oats or Pearl. My calls in this order.

Not sure pitino would be all that at this stage but I love the idea, if for nothing else, it’s a slap in the face to Cal who deserves it from all of us.Whoever it is, it needs to be a good one. My hope was Cal would at least get us back to a FF before he left. At this rate he is going to leave whoever were to take over a similar "state of the program" as he found it.

He can obviously coach. But if we make a change this year it just seems obvious to me it’s Oats. He’s a winner, he’s hungry, style of play fits. He’s going to win a championship some day.Nobody is doing more with less talent than Lamont Paris at South Carolina.
Not sure he’d be a good fit at UK, since his system is modeled after Bo Ryan’s at Wisconsin, a system folks here long lambasted as boring. But his teams are very well coached and he does look like a future star on the rise.
The thing with Paris is lack of body of evidence. Team chemistry and magic can go a long way. My guess is we're seeing a lot of that, and not necessarily coaching magic. Is Paris a good coach? Maybe. But I think there's far safer options out there. We can gamble, a little. A Paris gamble is a big unknown.Nobody is doing more with less talent than Lamont Paris at South Carolina.

I thought that also but winning cures everything. They played a much faster tempo against Georgia so it was nice to see that he isn’t just capable of playing slow.Nobody is doing more with less talent than Lamont Paris at South Carolina.

Agree on Paris. He might be great but there isn’t enough evidence one way or the other. Look at Dennis Gates at Missouri. Everybody crowned that guy a year ago and now he’s got the worst team in the conference. The thing with Paris is lack of body of evidence. Team chemistry and magic can go a long way. Also my favorite 3.This ain’t rocket science
Drew
Oats
Pearl
I doubt all three would say no at 10M per year and the ability to attract/NIL players at Ky that isn’t the same at Baylor/Bama/auburn
Cal had a slime ball reputation when we hired him.No oats. Sure he's a good coach, but we need somebody with a bit more integrity.
