Line up during crunch time

Pope threw a lot of different stuff out during the exhibitions, but once we get going in the real games who do you see him leaning on when the game is on the line?

Seems like Butler, Oweh, Robinson, Williams, and Carr will be given that role to start the season. Do you think that will stick, would you switch anyone into it?

I think that lineup makes the most sense.

I'd assume it stays that way unless someone from the 2nd unit really comes along. It may be situational as well.

Those are the main 5 I trust the most and should get the majority of minutes at their respective positions. You give Brea more minutes if he's hot and we're in need of more offense.

Whoever is playing the best during that game or during that portion of the game.

And it will depend on what we need for that situation. If we are ahead by a few, he may go with the better defensive lineup. If we are behind and time is starting to run out, then the better three pointers will be on the floor.

Also, he may try to match up to who is on the floor for the other team. And then there are foul considerations - ours and theirs.

So short answer is it will vary a lot, but most likely it will be the starting lineup.

I think it could be based on who has played best THAT GAME

Less a fan of the hot hand. Some players are good at scoring in the middle of the game when defense may not be as intense. But fewer can score when defense are tight and going hard for every rebound. As the season progresses, I could see Chandler improving and making his own shot and wanting him in crunch time.

Coach is going to play whoever he feels most comfortable with the game on the line. Robinson is the only one that I can confidently say will be on the floor if possible. Who is giving off energy and good vibes and hopefully our best free throw shooters.

If I remember all the projected starting fives from weeks ago, Oweh was the one most frequently left out of fan projected starting fives. But then in the two preseason games he scored points and played with a maturity that demands minutes. Right now I think everybody is good with our starting five.

Brea and chandler comes to mind both seem to be finding their way right now regardless both will see slot of floor time

I’d love to see Brea replicate Robinson.

I definitely love that lineup and think it's the best all-around grit and firepower.

All the same I am so thankful we have Almonor. I see him as the ultimate hand grenade to throw in the middle of the enemy's charge. He's got sort of a big and goofy air about him. (And there is enough of that bigness that he could throw his weight around if he really wanted to.) But when a guy that big and semi goofy comes in and just starts ripping off threes, I don't see how anyone is going to be able to resist going a little cross-eyed. I'm definitely excited to test that out against elite opposition and see how it holds up.
