Likely No Jaxson Robinson against UT

Eh, he got it whacked a few times last game. We were already kind of fortunate to have both him and Butler for USC, and if we didn't have either, who knows what that game might have looked like. Could have been a loss.

Give Jaxson a week in between games. We need these guys for march.

I think it might end up being a great chance for him to reset for our final push. Glass is always half full.

UT is not some superteam; they only have one less SEC loss than UK. UK beat UT in Knoxville without Carr or Butler so I think we might have a little better than zero chance to beat them in Lexington with Carr and Butler but without Robinson.
An outsider viewing this board would wonder where the traditional UK fan went. The loudest minority makes us all look like scared puppies. smh

We didn't need him to beat sc.

People keep bring up who sc almost beat. Tell me their road game margins of defeat. Columbia games are irrelevant at Rupp.

Yep, if the same people had UL logos next to their names, the posts would be no different.
Missing Robinson tomorrow (potentially) is a big loss because they will just sit on the 3 point line and gamble on Kentucky to beat them inside the 3 point line. Can Kentucky win? Yes they can, but if just got infinitely harder

Which is tougher beat 0-10 South Carolina at home or beat #5 ranked Tennessee at home ?

About zero chance to beat Tennessee without him about 90% chance to beat Carolina.

ESPECIALLY after he left the game with getting it hit and then they put him back in ????????????????

That was a huge mistake at the very least to put him back in.
Zero percent chance is crazy to say. Teams win all the time with missing top players.

Big opportunity for Noah. He had a nice game against UT last time. Being from Harlan myself, nobody compares to the hate we have for UT.
Yeah, Noah is the guy who would seem to be in line to get the minutes here backing up Brea and Oweh. Of course, Chandler may take some of those minutes and I guess Almonor could play some at SF depending on the matchup.

Hate seeing this and hope Jones is too pessimistic. What exactly is the injury? Is it a deep bone bruise? I know Pope said that the injury occurred when Robinson ran into Garrison in practice. Sounded like they were trying to ramp up the intensity in practice on defense.
Jones usually only does posts like this when he knows something

Easy to say that in hindsight after we blew them out, but coming into that game, South Carolina had honestly played better than their record suggested and we were desperate for a win after losing 4 of 5. It made sense to play him if he was feeling up to it.

This. South Carolina was a must win for us and we couldn't take any chances with that. A loss to UT doesn't hurt anything in thr grand scheme of things but a home loss to South Carolina could have been disastrous.

The fact that Pope played Robinson against SCAR was a stupid decision. Downright idiotic.

The fact that Pope put Robinson back in late in the second half when UK was up by 20, when he had already been grimacing and holding his wrist for most of the second half (and while he was on the bench as well) is a fireable offense, in my opinion. Absolutely moronic.

We played against the one team that we didn't really have to play him against, and now we'll be without him for a stretch of games where we desperately need him.

Gonna be lucky to finish 9-9 in the SEC right now, with 8-10 not out of the question with all these injuries.
I'm with you in so far as the need to play against SCjr. It was unnecessary.

UK's entire strength and conditioning department needs an overhaul in the offseason.

Good news is that we are at home and the role players seem to play better here vs road, the bad news is teams seems to have a good shooting night unlike their season avgs but our D was better against a so so SC team. I think butler is going to have to score more and OO have a real good game, I think this could be a Carr game where he goes for 15 & 8 then maybe get 20+ out of combo of brea and Noah.

Gosh. You guys saved me about 3 hours of my life since there is no way we beat Tennessee without Robinson.

By the way, isn't he the same guy a lot of you said was a waste and not ready for prime time??? Again and again and again?

Yeah...thought so.

Gonna be a tough game. UT is hungry for that double bye. We should be too. Best be ready for a war tomorrow night.

We've swept UT ONCE in the past decade or so (we beat them twice in 2023 strangely enough). The last time before that was 2012. Tired of splitting with them so much. Need to add another sweep to it.
