Liam Coens Rams score 10 points in first game loss to Bills

I loved the job Liam did here. I thought he was a genius. He took a program that for three or four years prior did not know what a forward pass was.
He made us exciting on that side of the ball and made us a place that good skill position kids would look at. Look at the freshman receivers we have.
I know it is just one game and the Bills are good but will the Ram nation be happy with 10 pts ?
I think Rich S will do a good job here but in the NFL when there is a problem it is a lot easier to get rid of the coach and not the player

Stafford started out slow at the beginning of last season as well. I think they'll be fine, not SB fine, but fine.

O line looked entirely over matched and Von Miller played like his hair was on fire. On the other side Allen Robinson looked washed.

Rams will recover, but the Bills defense will be fierce.

Rams looked offense just got a number did on them by the Bills defense. Stafford barely looked at Robinson (2 targets, 1 was final offensive play of game) so that was not a good strategy. 10+ targets to Kupp. Bills sat back, let him make a few catches and then got 2 picks on his targets. Excellent game plan.

Shocked Henderson handled the load he did when Akers had been presented as the presumed starter. Neither could run and both were ineffective as pass threats as well.

One team looked pissed off and mad about losing to KC; the other seems content they won a SB.

Well McVay designs the schemes....but the OC has responsibility for execution (which was very poor) and development of personnel (which the Rams are pretty old roster).

- Stafford has been around....he had offseason elbow surgery...won him a ring...will he Joe Flacco from here on out?
- Rams WR core is Cooper Kupp and ?????? Lost Robert Woods, Odell Beckham hurt/gone ....
- Is the Ram Oline sort of in rebuild mode after Whitworth retires
- And the Rams D is still good but I don't see them being great. Ramsey was burnt a few times, they lost Von Miller on edge pass rush, etc...
- The Rams basically trade off draft picks to get bigtime players in trades....so they do't have picks to fill holes.

So all in all, Coen is still a good coach but he might be getting on a bus on the way down vs. on the way up.

Bills also had 3 TO’s in 1st half or could have been worse.

I wish Coen nothing but success. But, I wouldn’t mind him getting groomed for a return to UK in a couple years. . I think he liked it here and the $ in college football is beyond crazy.

Somebody would get major redemption while the other would get major heartbreak.

I told you when the Vikes got Cousins in free agency he wouldn't win it all. I don't see that changing this year.

Cousins has not been the problem. He’s been very good at Minnesota. Its been the D and its shored up now with UKs own Z Smith and others.
Plus, need to keep Kendrick and Hunter healthy and “I’ll See “You’ in the Super Bowl.”

Don't matter. Last 3 or 4 Rams OCs under McVey got NFL head coaching jobs

Even if Rams slump to 7-10 this year i fully expect Coen's name to be hot mention as a head coaching candidate

same lol so I may be biased. Presumably if he only got two looks, he was never open. Maybe he’s still coasting off his Jacksonville rep, and he really was that bad in chicago
