Liam Coen in the running for the Syracuse opening

And, yet, people want Sumrall if Stoops leaves. I suspect FSU is not crying. While TAMU is crying, and paying.

I don't know anything about Sumrall, could be a grand slam hire, but history would say more likely a dribbler back to the mound. FSU is likely laughing their way to the playoffs over Jimbo. I am still scratching my head over ATM paying 76m to fire Jimbo only to hire one of his assistants.

I think if you have watched the last few years and the way recruiting has gone and still are convinced mark stoops is not trying to change is coaching philosophy then guess you will never change your mind.

How many deep shots did we take this year just to watch a wide open brown get overthrown by Leary?

Missouri game is a win if stoops coached like he did three years ago, South Carolina game is a win as well.

I think the problem this year was a wildly inaccurate qb on the deep ball. This is why coen is seen as great. He calls the right plays to have a great offense, but if they miss they
throws or drop the passes what can be done?

I can absolutely agree the pace of play is the philosophy stoops needs to address and if that is what you meant then I apologize we are 100% in agreement. As far as run/pass and opening up the offense though he has tried and failed in that aspect to this point but it appears going forward he wants that and not the Benny snell offense.

That’s one of the biggest problems with stoops. He gets stuck in a mindset and doesn’t change.

The individual game should dictate strategy. Not the plan in the offseason. He has almost no ability to make adjustments in the middle of a game. And he often panics because of one negative and completely shelves things that are working for the rest of the game.

Then that’s bullshit and he needs to stop doing it. That’s like hiring a guy to paint your house then going out there and helping him do it. Stay in your house Stoops. You wanna be helpful? Go coach those DB’s!!!
Well, one of them lead to the winning TD, so I would say if Stoops sees something that Coen maybe doesn't, as Head Coach, he should have that right.

And I would go so far as to say that part of the issues with the OL are in the fact they had to convert from a run blocking scheme to more of a pass blocking scheme. Those schemes take a different type of OLineman to execute effectively.

Nothing A&M did made any sense

Stoops did say on the running TD, at the end of game , he called the play. Called it a downhill run- Eddie Gran special.

He did and thank goodness because someone needed to finally remember we had one of the best backs in the country and stop the crazy amounts of targets that went to barion. It cost us two games.

I think Stoops told Coen to let it rip, but the fact always remains that the HC is the HC. If you have a boss, the boss has a say in how the business runs. Anything else is ridiculous. Quit if you don’t like it.

He did and thank goodness
But what a boring 39 yard scamper to the end zone for the winning score, in the final 70 seconds, on the road, against your nationally ranked, in-state rival!!!!

Just imagine what could have been!!

It’s high time that we learn to criticize and question success as heartily as we do failure.
