LHL: Could Calipari play 4 PGs at the same time?

Some of you guys are stuck in the 20th century with your definition of a Point Guard.

We've got a guy in here saying a 2 guard doesn't need to be able to shoot.

The definition hasn't changed, there are just less real point guards in today's game (which has actually hurt UK under Cal recently).

We had Cade Cunningham coming here until his brother got hired. We fell back to Askew no thanks. The point guards are out there we just didn’t have the recruiters to get them. I think we have to guys to get them here now!!

Just because you "can" doesn't mean you are. Briscoe, Murray, Maxey, Quickley.. all shooting guards.

Well there is definitely a big gap from having guys like Wall, Knight, Fox or even Teague running the point down Harrow, Askew, Wheeler or even the stint that Archie Goodwin had to do it.

Interesting... Because Briscoe wasn't a point guard. Maxey and Quickley weren't point guards. Murray really isn't even a point guard, he is just put in that spot by the Nuggets because they have Jokic on the floor as well.

That's a cool story. He very clearly wasn't a point guard in college. At any point in time.

He did not play PG for us, but that does not mean that wasn’t his best position, or a position he could play. All it means is that we had a better one (in AA Ulis and then in Fox), and so Cal had him play somewhere else than PG, It ain’t that complicated guys!
