Ground Round is a great call. First place you could eat peanuts in the restaurant. Southland Drive was thick with good places back then. IIRC the original Joe Balognas was there, Sir PIzza, Godfathers, Kellys Milk Jug, Szechuan Garden, the original Long John’s Silver when it was actually really good. Hell even Sageser drug store had a mean cherry coke.A few stick out to me: The Ground Round (on Southland Dr.) Wing's Tea House (in Gardenside. that one is VERY old school), and Lexitalia (pretty much a given that it was Mafia owned/connected)
