Pay them whatever amount it takes to get the recruits/transfers here to UK. Until the system changes and there is a cap this is what must be done.

I just wanna know how AD supposedly got 200k and now it’s 2 million. I know it’s legal and times have changed but even now I can imagine a business paying that much money for a college player.
That is probably the idea, but bet they still know what the other gets. Just like employees, they always find out which causes problems
Still listening but if you take his comments at face value, he pretty much seems to rule out Duke just after the 3:30 mark as he says he doesn't really know what will happen with their roster for next year but has much better idea with UK and UConn.
Said he prefers Hurley's more aggressive coaching style the most of the 3. For playing style, he said both UK and UConn but did seem to give the edge to UK with giving the players more freedom. Also, did say with no other background stuff (just pure visit), UK was his best visit. So, have to feel good about where we stand going into his decision. But, he did speak pretty highly of UConn too. Didn't get a strong vibe for Duke.

Yeah I felt like his mom was kind of struggling to find something interesting to say about the Scheyers too lol. I also feel like his mom bristled a bit when he said he preferred Hurley’s coaching style. Obviously she’s gonna support her son no matter where he chooses to go, but I think she liked Pope’s laid back demeanor a lot more than crazy Danny.
He mentioned Kentucky in the same conversation. Nothing to worry about
If you watch that video he says the same thing about all three finalists, just different players he would target to come with him.
Aaron torres said on his podcast with uconn taking banks and Duke getting the boozers no doubt Lewis commits to Kentucky Saturday also he stated with Wilson he is up in the air he still thinks Kentucky is in good standing but with Arkansas and nil who knows he said the coaches at UK feels good about him and told caleb they would not recruit anymore for the class of 25 4 in coming freshman 5 to 6 back from the current squad and will hit the portal to finish out the team

I like those numbers. I think three odds are really good that Lewis & Wilson will be the 3rd & 4th freshmen.

Exactly the type of balance we wanted from Cal, and it gives the ability to get 2 amazing portal players and use our money wisely, while maybe picking up a couple bench pieces.
I think that’s a very good potential team scenario given the parameters Lewis gave (which is obviously what he was directly told was the plan). I think they could put the rest of the team together a few of other ways that would also be interesting.
One example would be, instead of a portal 2G (although I’m sure they’ll be some really good ones that would be hard to pass up) maybe they bring in two portal PFs with different strengths – a starting PF who shoots the 3 pretty well and at least one who could cover the Center spot in an emergency next season. The frontcourt is an area that could use a little more depth with your roster. Actually, I would kind of like to see UK bring in a promising non-OAD freshman PF regardless of whether Wison comes or not and on top of a top portal PF – but if Wilson signs that would then exceed the 4 freshmen plan.
Another variation would be possible if Pope was comfortable relying on freshmen and Perry (more of a combo Guard) at the PG spot, but Pope’s not Calipari, so I agree that probably isn’t what he’ll do.
