Levis will "decide soon" if he'll play in bowl game.

I hope he does not play want to see Sheron & Wade
Could care less win or lose … let’s get some young players some snaps
No CROD either
MCClain & Wright can run the ball

If he has any lingering shoulder issues after the end of this week, then he should sit out. I'd be taking my linemen out for dinner and such in the meantime to get their feelings on things.

Levis may legitimately need the time to heal for NFL pro day. That’s where he’s likely to enhance his draft status. It won’t be playing behind a struggling Oline.

Now is the time to hop on FanDuel and load up on Iowa’s moneyline and points before he announces. Iowa’s defense will outscore our offense & special teams.

So it’d be worth injury for him to play in the Gator Bowl? Makes sense under your logic.
Not saying it would be worth it but he’d be much more likely to WANT to play against ND as a player, not saying he would, but it I think he couldn’t care less about beating a lousy Iowa team two years in a row.

And for whoever is saying “some people are wired to think of others some aren’t” that would also imply those other players should think of him and his future as well. Most of those guys are stating their life in the real world after this bowl whereas he’s prepping for life-changing career due to his physical Abilities. Their future will be in sales or radio or tv, etc, if they get hurt it won’t change the whole trajectory of their life and chance at millions of dollars.

Not just about beating an Iowa. Main thing is standing with your teammates. It is a team game and most of those guys are going to be on the field together trying to help each other win. Except for maybe one. Just agree to disagree. I just know how I look at guys like Allen and Robinson, first rounders, not thinking of just themselves but wanting to help their teammates. They deserve special memories of being this way. Could have been hurt, but their team meant more to them. Kudos to those of the world that are like that.

He will be on the field in some capacity regardless of whether he plays. Stoops said as much at the press conference today. I hope he's healthy enough and that the offense is ready to block for him to play. Question is....Who's going to run the offense?

I mean, why play this year at all?

He was a 1st prospect prior to the season... He should have just sat the season out and spent the year with professional trainers.

Right?

For that matter, nearly every 1/2 pick should just not play because injuries and stuff.

Well, I would expect some kind of announcement within 72 hours of the bowl destination being announced.

If he/they wait passed Wednesday in the p.m., that will be just a little too self-serving (ticket sales) for my taste.

Stoops has said that Levis will be at the game whether he plays or not. I think that is pretty wise of Stoops. Imagine being a team leader and then envisioning standing around during a loss you sat out of without injury.

I don’t think I could tolerate the thought of watching/holding a clip board whilst healthy.

But if I could be on a beach listening to the game . . . might be more likely to sit it out.

I used to think that way, but what kind of message are you sending all the other players who are busting their asses?! “You guys go get ‘em, but for the most important position on the field, we’re gonna’ just try some lower caliber dudes… just to see how they play” !!! “Now go win!”

Way to have zero faith in the guy standing next to you.

You’re sending the message it’s about the program progressing and moving forward and not about their last game of the season. They should understand that. UK will continue long after them and to move forward you need to see what you have at different positions for next year by using a meaningless exhibition to find out. Yes that’s exactly what they’re doing.

Sorry we don’t go all out for this game and risk everything to satisfy your need for a senior I can’t name to have his last day on the gridiron.

(I was wrong... thought for sure he would opt to play)

Have to believe Iowa will now be favored in this one ??
The problem is we have no idea what Iowa brings to table on their defense via opt-outs. I’m sure they won’t announce this early. Whichever defense gets that big turnover in deep territory, that’s who I wanna bet on.

Not only do you swing and miss, you keep spewing the same bullsht regardless. Now I understand why you chose to be a beautician. Lmao. The closest you get to the real thing is fallacies
He shouldn’t play it would be really unnecessary on his part and would not help or hurt his draft status, only increase his injury risk. If you want him to play you’re being selfish honestly. Rest, heal, grab a clipboard and a headset for the bowl game and go make your money Will.
Where was that swing and miss again?

I actually nailed it down to grabbing a clipboard and a headset.

Good effort though, girth

Weird how @Girthang and all these momos stopped posting after I was right, how odd? And no CRod is out too, is he not a man anymore? He's not there for the guy next to him? What's our opinion now? You homers are a JOKE.

I didn't figure Levis would play but thought CR would. My simple point was comparing guys like Allen, Robinson and Levis. I remember obvious 1st rounders Allen and Robinson commenting about being there for their teammates in the bowl game. IMO the way it should be. Those guys could have got hurt. So that is one of the biggest things that stand out in my mind that makes them pretty special people and will always be remembered that way for that.

With Stoops saying that he 'hoped' that Levis would play shows that Stoops wasn't as concerned with Levis injury as some on this board. Using his injury as a reason for not playing is fine and all but the bottom line is the draft is his number one concern over sticking with teammates till the end on the field. And that is fine thinking that way because looking out for number 1 is the way most people are geared in life.

So when you compare these two types of people naturally you are going to have a much more favorable memory for the Allen's and Robinson's of the world. That is all I was saying. Everyone has there on opinion on it. I am sure Levis couldn't care less what someone like me thinks because he doesn't worry about others like the Allen's and Robinson's do.
