Levis vs KSR “Harvey”

I don't watch nor care about pmt, but it really fkn sucks that Levis said that on a national broadcast about any of our fans. It's not that he's wrong, it's just that it doesn't help recruiting or national perception.
Exactly. It obviously got Levis’ attention or he wouldn’t have mentioned it. And it irked me because 99% of the football fan base is positive.

So Matt Jones is taking the finebaum approach and making his show have created characters and regulars who are designed to make the fan base look like azz hats?
Yes. That’s the whole reason he texted Harvey and Edie etc. and told them to call. Because he only cares about himself and thought it would boost ratings. However, it produced a moron who probably doesn’t even watch the football games bad mouthing our team while the starting QB was on hold and listening. Peak KSR

And the PMT guys said they had been wanting to hear from them. It was a one off for PMT. No those people aren't calling each day like finebaum. Thats FACTUALLY INCORRECT.
Ummm, actually you’re the one who is factually incorrect. The same callers call every single day, especially right now while there’s not a ton of news and they struggle to even get callers. Andy, Mark Anthony, Casey (she sucks so bad), John short, Kentucky Joe, Harvey etc. etc. It’s quite identical to finebaum.

Ryan does that alot. He makes factually incorrect statements and just pretends he knows what he's talking about.

That isn't true lmfao John Short and Kentucky Joe will be on the show once a week at best. Harvey rarely calls in.

Because I do lmfao

It isn't my fault that you don't. That is your problem. Not mine.
If I don't know something I don't pretend to know. You get some kind of thrill out of pretending you know stuff. You're just a fan like the rest of us.

Do any of you honestly think Levis cares what anybody thinks about him? Especially Harvey.

Come on. Levis has so much swagger and moxie, he is fueled by any potential negative comments. I'm glad he is my QB1.

We must have.

There are areas for improvement. Again, if Levis was the returning starter from Arizona St then UK fans wouldn’t give him much respect based on previous stats. Weird hill to die on given his inconsistency.
ya know... i think he is getting a TON of respect from NFL scouts... and National media

CBS just (a few hours ago)

The 2023 NFL Draft is still more than ten months away but it is never too early to spotlight some of the talent for the upcoming football season. Ryan Wilson, Chris Trapasso and I compiled an early list of talent eligible for the 2023 NFL Draft, which should serve more as a watch list than stock projection. Here is the top 50:

1. Will Anderson Jr., EDGE, Alabama
2. C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
3. Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia
4. Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
5. Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson
6. Will Levis, QB, Kentucky

you've picked a stupid hill to die on

You have a low bar for an inconsistent first year starter for a UK player you wouldn’t have for another teams inconsistent first year starter.
Levis barely had an offseason with UK. He threw for 2800 yards and 24 TDs ran for another 539 yards and 9 TDs. Had a completion percentage of 66% which is much better than average.
Will played very well in almost every game but a couple. Yes he has plenty of things to get better at. All in all the season he had considering his limited reps with the 1s until fall camp is very impressive idc how you slice it. His numbers was eerily similar to Joe Burrows Junior year at LSU. If anything Will had a better overall first year with UK than Joe had with LSU.
Now can Will take a huge jump Ala Heisman Joe is yet to be determined. In saying that there is no reason Will can’t throw for 3500 yards 30 TDs and rush for another 600 yards and 10 TDs. If we get that out of Will we have a very good shot at 10+ wins again not counting the bowl game. If Will puts up 4000+ and 35+ TDs whoa Nelly we just may go to the playoffs.

I don't think most of this point - with minor exceptions - or my original point are mutually exclusive. Once again in the history of message board lore, people mostly agree on the facts but tone can skew meaning.

I disagree that he was inconsistent is the point. 2800 yards 35 total TDs in this league is getting it done.

Ah. Then you are wrong ha. Up thread (or maybe another thread) I provided some of his stats in context of his inconsistency compared to other QBs but here's a short run down:

Interceptions: 13 (t-16th out of 16 SEC QBs)
QBR vs teams with winning records (regular season): 62, 73, 41, 86, 46, 78, 24
QBR vs teams with losing records (regular season): 99, 91, 86, 92, 75, 88

Hope he has a great season! Hope he plays better consistently against the best teams too! Then a larger percentage of his total yards and TDs would be against winning teams too!

Poor ol Harvey is harmless. I'm pretty sure Will Levis hasn't given a second thought other than the initial one over what some 85 year old Pretindian from Somerset thinks about the team.

Just about every QBs stats are going to be worse against the better teams they play lol. Levis played very well all things considered. To be as down on him as you’ve shown is silly imo. One of the best games he played was against GA and in that game I bet his QBR wasn’t all that.

You think it's that big of a delta for one of the top returning QBs in the country? I don't think that's true at all. I could pull the numbers and take the average and median QBR for other top 30 returning QBs vs teams w/ winning records/losing records, but seems like it would be a lot of work to just tell me what I already know. Labeling him as inconsistent is just as common as labeling him with a strong arm. "They" say harsher things if you leave the BBN echo chamber, but I digress...

I also don't think you and I agree with what "being down" on someone actually entails. Pointing out areas of improvement is not being down. Goes back to my original point that message boards confuse tone for opinion all the time.
