In the 80's we rarely beat them in Knoxville.

I don’t remember much about those games, I just remember their teams weren’t very good on the national scale. Meanwhile, IU and UofL were winning titles. I guess it didn’t bother me as much losing to UT because there were no UT fans where I live.

I'm from Central Kentucky ... but live in Nashville now. It is UofL as the biggest rival and it isn't even close. We play UT at least twice a year. We play UofL once and the bragging rights are all on the line for 365 days. However, since Pitino left (and now that I like him again), I don't hate UofL as much ... but I do hate their stupid fans as much as ever.

I definitely matters if you have to deal with the other fan base. I know family in Paducah ask me why I hate UL so much. They don’t know any UL fans down there. They hate Tennessee more.
If they knew the line beard wearing, shit talking, crown royal drinking, wanna be white gangsters. They would understand.
